Spent a lazy couple of hours strolling around. We passes pre-wedding photo shoot groups; grandmothers with children; a kid fashion shoot; dancing and keep fit groups and all in the pleasant landscaped gardens

This Park's recent history characterises a significant aspect of China's recent and ancient history. The area-- and its relation to the Pearl River-- dates back 2,200 years... and, over the centuries its gardens grew in Fame. More recently, during China's initial and dramatic period of industrialisation, the area, and its waterways, were filled in as a part of Shenzhen's "Industrial Development". It became obvious that this was not a "good idea" and, by 2009 it was revitalised. Due to the destructive Typhoon "Mangkhut" [which visited in mid September, 2018] parts have been temporarily closed... but one will be able to visit the Park (by Metro), its gardens [be sure to buy some delicious lychees], the entertainment and "water/boat features"-- as well as enjoy marvellous views of Shenzhen's Central/downtown area.

I hope that this Review has been helpful.

Many trees are down around the edges and they wouldn't let me walk through, so it's not "open now". Also it isn't Shenzhen's Central Park which is actually a different park two kilometers west.
It's a nice enough park to walk through as I sometimes do, but can get a bit noisy especially in the evenings.

Easily accessible from metro, a retreat from the surrounding towers. Water lilies and egrets, gentle walkways by the lakes - calming with plenty of shade. Lots of families with children.

This park is modestly sized in relation to some of the other gardens and parks in the city. That said, this place exudes calm. and you just want to select the perfect tree by the lake to relax beside. Ignore the orange giant duck in the lake by wharf.

Compared with the overhyped theme parks, this is a gem.

Go there EARLY in the morning and experience the activities, or in the evening just before dark. Quite something for an outsider.

Nice park in the city centre. I was shocked by its size: huge park in the downtown. The best part is that dogs are not allowed, so you can't step on anything unpleasant there, Great for jogging, exercising, walking and having a picnic! The air is so fresh there, tho many people

Took a walk in this famous park and was not disappointed - it was bustling with activity! Dancing, singing, kung-fu performers, even an orchestra/band! Extremely interesting! Highly recommend for a cool evening!

Lychee really is gorgeous. The water, the bridges, the landscaping, all wonderful. Looks almost like a private garden more than a pubic park. Some areas for sports, and a great spot for a jog.
