I went to this park on the May 1st holiday, so it was very crowded with lots of families out to enjoy the holiday. I climbed the hill from the south side, which is a lot steeper than using the northern approach which is a gradual tarmac incline. Remember this is very hot and humid. The hill is tropical rainforest cover, the park area at the bottom has a couple of lakes (one where you can hire small leisure boats), and expansive green areas where people fly kites, sing, and have picnics. Nice to get some greenery in the middle of the urban bustle and pollution of shenzhen
