There are much better hostels at a lower prize in a better location with better service. We had some trouble with the bathrooms doors, they didnt close and in our first room (they swapped us after that) a friend got stuck in the bathroom for several minutes, they had to call someone to break the door so he could get out. Not nice.

As the title suggests this is an ideal place to stay if just for a good nights sleep before and after the 'W' or 'O' treks - the hostel has a pretty good breakfast, very comfy rooms & beds with an attractive communal area but was really lacking any atmosphere at all in relatively-low-season of November. We got locked out one night when celebrating the end of our trek at the nearby Baguales (great beer and food) so make sure you to tell the owners if planning to stay out. Also lacking any kitchen facilities. Could be worthy of a fourth star if in a big group or if busier in high season.

You will love this hostel if you are travelling in a larger group. The common areas can easily be accommodated by all hostel guests at once.

The staff knows a lot about the national park, possible trekking routes and shares information you likely won't get anywhere else. On top of that they have always been very friendly.

A downside is the lack of a kitchen and the placement of the rooms. The rooms have no windows to the outside, only towards the inside with the common rooms. If you are looking for fresh air and absolute quiet during the night you might be better off somewhere else.

Since we where travelling in a group of 20 and wanted to go to the national park this hostel was a great choice for us.

Dorms are fresh and airy. Family rooms spacious and well appointed. The bilingual manager is very helpfull and obliging. No cooking facilities but not a problem in this town. Not the cheapest but you get more than you pay for.

We stayed here for 4 nights (2 either side it our walk in Torres del Paine).

The room(s) we stayed in were nice. There are 4 + 6 bed dorms and then private rooms - each of the dorms and the private rooms has it's own bathroom, which is cool. Bathrooms are standard, with good, hot, powerful showers. Beds were very comfortable and seemingly pretty new.

The communal areas are nice, with a wood burner and foozball table.

Downsides are it's obviously aimed at an older audience looking to relax, so if that doesn't suit you, bear it in mind. It's also a bit more expensive than some of the other hostels we saw in town + it doesn't have a kitchen.
