It was our great pleasure to have Som as our tour guide and Tra as our driver for a 2-day private Angkor tour. Som is a knowledgeable, kind, respectful, honest and hard-working tour guide. We have no regrets and urge anyone reading this to take the leap of faith!

We started off at 4:40am on the first day for the Angkor Wat sunrise. From the get go, we could tell Som is passionate about his country, its culture, and its people. He never failed to surprise us with his knowledge of Cambodia, and particular the history of Angkor Wat and the other temples we visited.

Although it was a bit cloudy in the run-up to sunrise, we were lucky to have a clear view of the sun in the end, and took many pictures. Som is a fantastic photographer himself, and took many beautiful and professional pictures of us. We were very impressed!

For the rest of the first day, we visited temples including Ta Prohm, Angkor Thom, Bayon (Som’s favourite), Baphuon, and after a quick lunch, we returned to Angkor Wat in the afternoon (when it is less crowded).

The experience would not have been the same without Som leading us and telling us stories about the temples, explaining the architecture, and digging into the history of it all.

The benefits of having a private tour is that you can tweak the itinerary as you like. After discussing with the operator, we decided to visit 3 more temples on the next day, after we visited the floating village.

Every time we returned to the air-conditioned car, we were greeted with iced towels and iced water. At the end of the tour, we were also given small gifts made by the operator’s wife, and a very friendly phone call from the operator asking us about our tour. Som even bought us some local jackfruit to try (which I’ve never tried before!).

The private tour is well worth it, and it is highly recommended.

Som, hope you inspire your niece and nephew to become as successful as you, and best of luck in all of your future endeavours! You definitely inspired us :)

I have never given any review as fast as this. Just completed the 1 day tour for a group of 4 girls. We had Chi as our tour guide and Sarak as our driver today and what a lovely experience it was. Not only they are professional but they are extremely courteous, knowledgeable- gave us vivid details of the places we visited, super talented- took amazing innovative interesting pictures, humble, understanding and the last act of giving us a personalized souvenir truly made our day! A must must for anyone who is traveling Angkor for the first time and looking for a lovely day! You are doing great guys, keep up the good work and keep the reviews pouring! Tada....

Wonderful service from Asean tour guide such as the iced water and towels. The driver Sela told me a lot history of Cambodia kingdom and people’s life nowadays . It is much fun and a better way to know the country.

We booked a 1-day tour of Angkor Wat, including the sun rise (leaving the hotel at 4.40a) and went to Angkor Wat, Ta Prom, Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, and Banteay Srei. Our tour guide got us to places way before a lot of the crowds and knew exactly what to see and how to manoeuvre around the people. He was very knowledgeable and friendly and left us to our own also to explore. Was not pushy to move on. The tour operator, who was also our driver that day, was attentive and friendly. Planning / communicating / organising was easy. We got to our hotel lobby at around 4.35 (for a 4.40 pick up) and they were already there ready to go. Would highly recommend!

Our recent trip (23 Mar – 26 Mar 2018) to Siem Reap was an enjoyable and memorable one. We booked our trip at the last minute through Mr Rasa Asean.
Mr Rasa is very prompt in replying my email and whatsapp and suggested a 3 days tour itinerary which is suitable for us (Angkor Wat, Waterfall, Lady Temple, Tonle Sap Lake and famous temples in Angkor). His recommendation of Mr Yong as our tour guide was excellent too. Mr Yong conversed in good English and is very knowledgeable of the temples history and explain to us with his map and ‘Angkor’ Guidebook with picture before and after re-structure. Mr Yong knows good spots to take amazing pictures for my family. Our driver was very friendly and ensure that every stops back to our car, he will provide us cold towels with lemongrass fragrance and bottled mineral water for our daily used. Mr Rasa is very caring and ensure our trip is all good. He even called and talked to us on our last day to airport and wish us well. We also received handmade wristband with our name on it, which was indeed heartwarming.
We will definitely recommend Asean Angkor Guide and thank you for giving us a memorable trip in Siem Reap.
