New hope is an absolutely amazing place. The restaurant is a vocational training centre for women in the community. When we were there we ate the set menu, which was SO delicious that we bought the recipe cards after in hopes we might be able to recreate the flavours. Not just a restaurant, New Hope works with to provide primary education for children for free, as well as access to a clinic, and support for those children to have more opportunities afterwards. If you're going to Siem Reap, EAT HERE! You'll learn a completely different side of Cambodia.

This inspiring charity organisation educates around 1000 very poor children in Siem Reap. Their hospitality students run a small restaurant in the school grounds. Our G Adventures tour group stopped there for lunch. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. Well worth the visit. The stories of the achievements of the school and its students were very moving.

A worthy charity, offering education, healthcare and nutrition to children from the surrounding slums. Vichtyea spent time to show us around and explain the aims and methods New Hope. Unfortunately we didn’t get to eat in the restaurant, but could see that it was well run and it’s good to know that the trainees there can go on to get jobs and raise themselves out of poverty. Well worth a visit and support.

The fact that there are bad reviews about this place shows that some people just can’t be pleased.

This is a training restaurant. People come out of here ready to work in nice restaurants. They are also using it as an opportunity to solicit volunteers and money. 90% of the kids there live in poverty and are getting a good education, and helped with life by quality teachers.

The food was good. Better than most we’ve had in Siem Reap . The staff was professional.

These kids aren’t orphans. They come from very poor neighborhoods and have a great school to call their own. And the restaurant is profitable, trains people and gives money to the school.

I visited as part of a GAdventure group project. GAdventure is one of the sponsors for this project. The service was good, food great, good drink selection. The rest of the facilities were closed because it was Saturday.
