As a family of 4 on a very long overseas adventure, we have stayed in many hotels over the last few months. The staff here were exceptional!

Khemy, Peter, Mark and Coy made it their mission to ensure we had the best time in Siem Reap. Khemy organised so many activities for us and was very helpful with her honest advise and recommendations.

Our boys loved the pool, and we enjoyed the shaded double pool swings ... many an afternoon was spent lounging here!

We were in a family room, with 2 boys each in their own single bed. The room (102) was very spacious and the main bed was massive! The TV was very large and there was always a good movie for the kids to watch.

The room was VERY quiet. We never heard any other guests ... even when we slept in late.

The room itself needed a bit of maintenance ...just the usual stuff. Unstuck board in the bathroom, the shower drain didn't drain well creating a small flood if you showered more than 5 minutes. The shower is not completely private either, as the privacy board had a decorative pattern drilled in it, and it didn't close well.
The only issue that was a problem for us was the wifi connection in our room. It was pretty bad, so the boys had to sit closer to reception so they could access their games. It wasn't a problem for the hotel, so it wasn't a problem for us. Wifi by the pool was good though.

Breakfasts were fabulous. Coy was always there to chat to us about our day and ensure our poached eggs were delivered in a timely manner :) Thank you Coy.

There is a restaurant onsite, and I can recommend it. The food it very nice indeed. Our son rated the beef burger as the very best he has had, and my other son rated the french fries very highly.

I would really highly recommend that you stay at the Memoire d'Ankor Boutique Hotel. The staff are truly outstanding. Khemy is a wealth of information and went out of her way to ensure we had a wonderful time here. She even organised special treats for us ... you spoilt us Khemy!!!

Highlights of Siem Reap were ... Phare Cambodian Circus, and Ankor Wat. It goes without saying you will probably visit Ankor Wat, but please DO go to the Phare Cambodian Circus, it was top of my WOW list.

We stayed here for 3 nights on our recent stay to see Angko Wat and the other temple complexes. First I would say that the service from the staff was excellent. They greeted us with a cold cloth and drinks. They were very attentive to our needs and helped us book several events. The breakfast in the adjourning restaurant was very good and several of the staff were very helpful. Special mention to Peter at the front desk who was very good and helpful and Red who was our waiter for the breakfasts - he gave us our own Cambodian language lesson two mornings. He has a great sense of humour and was extremely pleasant. Just one criticism was the comforter on our bed was a little worn and had several stains and our bathroom was not as clean as we would usually expect. I would suggest to management they may want to invest in new linen or get a better laundry service.

We booked this hotel based on a recommendation from a friend who recently stayed here. We arrived early in the day (9:00am) and was warmly greeted. The front desk provided wonderful tips for traveling in the area and arranged for a tour guide and Tuk Tuk driver who took us out that same day to tour Angkor Wat and surrounds. At the end of the first day we booked the tour guide and car for the next day through the hotel. This was super convenient because they charged it to our room so upon check out we paid for the tours and drivers without additional surcharge.
Spent one day relaxing at the pool and used the spa.
Pub steet is a quick 10
Minute walk or pick up a tuk tuk for a couple bucks just outside.
Breakfast was delicious and the staff very accommodating.
Would stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to the area.
The reason for a 4 rating is that the room was a bit dated and the beds were super hard.

The Memoire d'Angkor is not the perfect hotel, but we really enjoyed our stay. I have to say that as many reviewers have said, one thing which really makes this hotel special is their staff.

However, one small criticism, which management may want to take onboard. It is lovely that they are friendly and show a genuine interest in the guests. We felt that the restaurant staff lingered a bit too long on many occasions, and need training to "read" when the guests are happy to continue the conversation, or when they are ready to be left alone to continue their breakfast or whatever. Minor critic, but worth noting to improve guest experience.

We had the family suite, which was a perfect size for our family. The room itself was quite nice (around 3.5 stars). However, be aware that on one side of the hotel, the rooms face a wall that is very close to the windows, and does not let much natural light in. Also, there was a lot of rubbish and building materials just outside the windows. I nice cleanup of this area and putting some plants would make this less of an issue at least people could open their windows during the daytime. We were moved to the other side of the building without any fuss or trouble.

The breakfast was very good and had a lot of variety.

The location was one of the highlights. A very handy supermarket right next door. Only a 10 min walk into Pub St.

I didn't take any marks off for this, as is is not something the hotel did or could do better. It is really just a personal feature that our family likes. That is to have a balcony or sitting area outside the room. Our room did not have this (and I believe there are only a few rooms that do in the whole hotel). This meant if we wanted to sit and read or have a drink, we had to go to the pool area.

I would recommend this hotel, and we would probably stay again. Special mention to Sronock, he was amazing.

My husband and I stayed here for four nights in late Nov. The experience was seamless - we were picked up at the airport and brought to the hotel.

From the moment we arrived, Sokha Sam and her front desk staff went above and beyond to ensure our trip was perfect.

We were upgraded to a suite on the third floor which had everything we could have wanted. The bed was the most comfortable we have found in Asia so far.

The pool facility was lovely and we took advantage of the covered beds to escape the sun.

Koy and the staff in the restaurant were so friendly and attentive and made sure we had everything for our meal. Koy also booked us in to the special dinner and show with traditional Khmer dancing and costumes.

Sokha also arranged a sunrise tour of Angkor Wat for us. The driver and guide (Mr. Nuc) spoke wonderful English and made sure our tour was fun and informative.

The location of this hotel is fantastic - lots of shops and food nearby, and is next to the Lucky Mall if you want to buy groceries or alcohol. It is also a quick walk to Pub Street and the Night Market.

Highly recommend - book here!
