To visit the temples in Cambodia you have to buy a temple pass. One day pass is $37USD which is expensive by local standards. If you add a guide and transport it’s not a cheap day. But hey, what else would you go to see instead.

You can buy multi-day passes.

It’s amazing to think about how they built it and the work required, and the obvious quality of workmanship.

It’s an impressive building.

Angkor Wat is a must visit when u go to Siam reap . I don’t think I would recommend it to younger children as it was really hot and was a lot of walking . Also it is a great place to shop as they have lots of good prices . Also would bring good walking shoes as there is a lot of walking .

This is a very challenging site to cover. We had a guide. It is physical and a bit overwhelming when you are there ( 400 acres) , BUT the pics look amazing afterward when you are not climbing or feeling the heat. Best done early and allow two 1/2 days. It's hard touring. And a lot of info.

We went for the one day pass and I think that was definitely enough for us. We had a tuk tuk driver take us around from 4:30am (sunrise) to around 2:00pm and we got to see the smaller, "famous " temples. It's absolutely breath taking and we were just blown away with the shear size of the whole complex... to think it was all made by hand? Wow! There are huge waves of people who are there but that's just life. TIP:we did a reverse trip which reduced the crowds:) you MUST wear respectable clothing and you should bring a big hat, 2 big bottles of water and food because the heat drains you very quickly. Over all 100% worth going!
