“Unexpected turnout”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2012

My family and I (two adults and three children) stayed here for 6days. Throughout our stay, we felt very welcome both from the hotel staff and tuk tuk drivers. Upon realising the number of people staying in one of our two 2-bedded rooms, we were given an extra pillow without us asking for it !! The size of the room/washroom is comfortable, always smell fresh, clean and tidy, no problem with the water heater. Lots of tv channels to select. The fluorescent light which was not working on the 3rd day of our stay was immediately fixed, much to my delight when we were back to the hotel. The breakfast was good enough selection and tasty.

Kudos to tuk tuk driver, Sam for making our trip so enjoyable. The temples and other places for visit were already great but his manners and way of handling our needs has sealed this trip to an Unexpected Turnout. Thank you, Sam for the extra effort in bringing us to the faraway remote fishing village....!! We did not experience any tug-of-war or sourness between the tuk-tuk drivers when we "released" Sam from his night duty !! LOL, we gave him a break !!

Last but not least, we were priviledge to be able to meet Sam's lovely family and experience the beautiful Cambodian wedding, chance of a lifetime. Thanks again Sam and everyone that made our trip so memorable. From Mrs David Chiang, Malaysia

What can we say about this wonderful little hotel... We stayed here for a week, and were very sad when we finally had to leave. Everything about our stay was perfect right from the start. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and even went out of their way to help us when the bus company forgot to pick us up (don't book a bus through Capital Tour). The hotel is in a quiet location away from the noise and hassles of Pub Street. The free pick up service from the airport was an added plus. We booked one of their tuk-tuk drivers, Mr. Thean, for the week, and he was very punctual and knowledgeable about the temples of Angkor. We highly recommend him as a driver. It's also worth noting that Mr. Thean was a very safe driver, which is not something that we could say about any of our other tuk-tuk drivers in southeast Asia.

Room Tip: Book the Apsara Suite. It's worth the extra price. The room is spacious and made us feel like we...

We stayed here for 6 nights in a suite room. Check in was swift and very efficient with a lovely cool towel and drink provided. The staff were extremely friendly, courteous and helpful. We were made to feel at home straight away.

The room was a very good size. The wasn't the strongest we had on our trip but did a good enough job. The bathroom was a good size and had everything you would need. No issues with water temperatures or pressure.Housekeeping were excellent and the room was always clean and tidy (when we weren't in it!!).

Breakfast was simple but ample for a short stay. The communal areas and shared computers were very good and very useful.

As the trip was for my birthday the staff very kindly surprised me with a cake and a rendition of "Happy birthday" this was both delightful and very surprising. Both myself and husband thought this was a very nice thing to do.

All in all the hotel was excellent. we had no issues and were very well taken care of. I will stay here on future trips.

Clean & comfortable with spacious staircase, very homey. Staff is helpful & informative. Location is good in terms of accessibilty to food, massage, tour & 10-15 mins walking distance to Angkor night market , pub street, lucky mall & etc. Only drawback is the small road to hotel is terrible & dark but will still feel safe if walking with a few friends. An excellent thumbs up goes to the honest staff/maid as my USD$170 left in the room was untouched when I was having breakfast downstairs! I think this is a very good quality of the hotel as it would be more frustrating to lose your possession as compared to staying in an awful hotel. The surprise thank you note plus complimentary scarf given as souvenir do make our stay a memorable one!

Booked based on other on line reviews and we were delighted. Angkor Pearl offers amazing value - we stayed in a suite which was beautifully decorated with traditional wooden floors and furniture, huge bed, decent sized sitting area and sizeable, modern bathroom. Amazing value for the price we paid through Agoda. The staff were excellent, friendly, helpful and always smiling. Breakfast was inclusive and good but nothing special. Location is convenient for central Siam Reap. From the outside this hotel appears middle of the road, however once inside it feels like you are somewhere for 4 times the price you paid! Highly recommended.

Room Tip: The Aspara suites are excellent value and very spacious
