We stayed for 4 nights in the rose apple. It's a quiet, little questhouse just outside the center of Siem Reap, with only two rooms. It's very easy to get around with a little help of your own personal tuktuk drivers. Very big but cosy, clean rooms. Every morning a different breakfast.
The hosts Tim and Ohn, are incredibly friendly and welcoming, and are eager to give you lots of helpfull suggestions. They're just the best!!! Make sure you do the daytrip to roulous, Kompong Phluk and the Tonle Sap lake.

The Rose Apple:

My friend and I had the privilege of staying at this charming B&B during our trip to Siem Reap in May. Following 4 weeks of travelling through South East Asia I can honestly say that the 4 days we spent there was one of the highlights of our trip.

Upon arrival we were greeted by Ohn (who runs the B&B with her husband Tim) with a welcome drink before being shown to our room. In a beautiful, traditional style Cambodian house, it was the smaller of the two, but still huge (there is a four poster bed, separate sitting area, and a TV- luxury!). We were left a bowl of fruit as a welcome gift and lent a mobile phone so that we could contact Ohn and Tim or the tuktuk driver if needed- lovely touches. The homecooked breakfasts were also superb- one morning we got pancakes, another French toast, and Ohn even had peanut butter at hand to satisfy my craving for it!

The entire accommodation may be decked out to provide guests with the utmost comfort but, most importantly, it is of a personal sort, which makes The Rose Apple feel like a home away from home.

Ohn and Tim were the best sort of hosts any guests could hope for- kind, friendly, interesting, and interested in us- and it often felt like we were staying with friends.

I cannot recommend this place enough. If I return to Cambodia I will be going straight back here. Comfortable, charming, as sweet as an apple.

We stayed at the rose apple for 4 nights and loved it. It only has 2 rooms and we chose to stay in the smaller of the two, but in comparison to everywhere else we have stayed, the room is huge and very spacious. There is a 4 poster bed and a living area with a sofa and television with lots of English-speaking channels. The bathroom area is separated from the bedroom by a wall but there is no door, so everything is quite open! The bathroom is a wet room but the floor dries quite quickly and everything is clean.

The couple who run the B and B are interesting, friendly, caring people. On the first evening, Ohn cooked a delicious dinner for us and we were made to feel at home immediately.

The setting in beautiful. You can relax on hammocks outside and it is quiet as it is a 20-25min walk outside of the centre. This is not a problem as it is a safe and easy
walk in. Also Tim and Ohn gave us a mobile phone with the number of a local tuk tuk driver on it, so we could always call him if we didn't want to walk.

Outside the room is an area with a fan to sit and look out. There is also free tea and drinking water. We were greeted with a complimentary bowl of fruit.

This was a great place to stay. All other accommodation on this holiday has paled in comparison and we were sad to leave. It felt like staying with friends, and the room really was luxurious. You are missing out if you don't stay here!
