The thatched cottages are clean and comfortable, with nice views and privacy in most, though they are close to each other. Our group of 9 was accommodated well and tours arranged efficiently. The breakfast was excellent with abundance and variety. The lunches and suppers were, however, expensive, not very good and very limited in choice. Without a vehicle, though, we were limited to eating here, or getting a taxi to Kasane. The grounds along the river were very beautiful and peaceful. The pool is large enough for actual swimming and I had it all to myself since others find Botswana winter too cold for swimming! The prices were in line with other locations nearby, and quite reasonable compared to some of the pricey, high end resorts.
We could hear live music and partying coming from somewhere at night, but the early mornings and days outside meant we went to sleep anyway. Be sure to take the sunset cruise and the early morning and evening game drives to Chobe National Park, rather than later or all day tours. Dress warmly! We would recommend this lodge for a restful stopover and for good access to Chobe.More
