Okay, so you might not think you are in for a great meal by looking at the Ginger House from the outside or even inside. Pretty basic. That said, my wife and I had an outstanding meal. Service from this family run business was quaint, helpful and perfect. You know, Mom and Dad running the place while daughter does homework at the table, sort of place. So, let's get to the food...
We had fried dumplings that were homemade. Excellent filling, perfect fry. I had soup and it was one of the best I have ever had. It was a meal in itself. Main courses were fresh, nicely presented and super tasty. Drinks (full bar) snuck up on us. You know, those rum punch sort of drinks. Classically presented in tacky south China Sea sort of glasses.
Not that you will be driving through Antrim any time soon (or perhaps you are right now), but if you want great quality Chinese food and live within 10-15 miles, it is worth the extra time to head to Ginger House. If the owners renovate to make the appearance match the food, then you might never get in, because it will be jammed full.
