“Some very unique boats on exhibit”

Minnesota Lakes Maritime Museum

Stopped by after visiting the nearby Kensington Runestone museum. This museum has some great examples of the varies boats and motors from the past. Most of these boats have been fully restored and well maintained. The wood boats such as the Chris-Crafts were especially impressive.

The boat museum was very interesting and I'm not into boats. We went for the guys in our group, but I am a history buff and the stories that each boat had posted made the visit for me. Some boats were so unique I had never seen anything like them.

Terrific addition to the community- better every summer! I've been there for weddings- Beautiful! Great spot to access other venues in town too like the runestone museum and Big Ole.

This museum has numerous artifacts, boats and motors from the past. The building is very comfortable and the staff is exceptional. The Museum will give you a good feel of Alexandria lake days gone by.

Less than 10 years old a great addition to the lakes area tourist attraction list. If it is made for personnel watercraft use the chances are you will see it at the museum. Has a beautiful garden in back where they have free summer concerts.
