“Wonderful staff, delicious eats!”

The Jefferson Market
Ranked #97 of 596 Restaurants in Ann Arbor
Cuisines: American
Description: This summer saw a change in ownership, but longtime fans should not be concerned. New owners Ed Green and Angie May bring plenty of passion for food, as well as many years of experience managing Bette’s Oceanview Diner in Berkeley,CA. Regulars will also be happy to hear that Chef Dugan Walser is still holding down the reins in the kitchen, cooking up favorites like the Huevos Rancheros and Buttermilk Pancakes that The Jefferson Market is known for. Breakfast is served all day, Tuesday-Sunday from 8am-2pm, so come on by and check it out!

The little neighborhood cafe is the perfect place for breakfast or lunch. A good selection of choices and great coffee!
Indoor and outdoor seating. A lovely little place. Thanks Mary!

Decided to try someplace we hadn't been before for Sunday brunch, checked TripAdvisor & decided to try Jefferson Market. Initial impression was OK, one orders from a limited menu, issued a card to indicate to the server where the order goes, and invited to find a table. So far, so good. After a few minutes, one of the two meals we ordered arrived with two overlooked slices of bacon stuck together, several slices of lukewarm toast, 3 small pieces of cantaloupe, and a couple eggs sitting next to a small mound of hash browns. The toast was returned & reemerged a few minutes later, still lukewarm but on a very warm plate. This coincided with the arrival of my friend's breakfast, approximately 7 or 8 minutes after mine arrived. Everything tasted good, it is just unfortunate that the presentation element was so lacking. My understanding is that this isn't the main focus of this establishment, their bakery is, so that's why I am rating a 3 instead of lower.
