This is a very peaceful part of town and is a beautiful walk.
We tried relaxing alongside it but had quite a few beggars harass us so we carried on.
The views are lovely though

If you are a runner (I am), you will enjoy this course.
You can start crossing the street in front of the "Reloj de flores" (playa Caleta Abarca) and you will be on the sign "7.5" painted in yellow no the floor. These signs are painted every 500 mts in both directions, until sign 10,0 (if you go to Valparaíso). Km 0,0 is located exactly when you arrive to Reñaca beach.
If you run to Reñaca you will pass hotel Sheraton, Castillo Wolff, Avenida Perú, Avenida San Martín, recta Las Salinas (2 Km of beaches), playa Las Salinas and Reñaca.
The only problem is that it is a little bit crowded, particularly on weekends.
Wear your shoes and enjoy
Our ever gracious chauffeur and guide took us down this glorious highway, with views of the Pacific to the West, the mountains to the East.
You can ride a bike all the way to Valparaiso from Reñaca enjoying a beautiful view and sites. Plenty of restaurants and places to visit. Summer days are crowded but spring and fall much more quiet and entertaining.
Six stories of Mall with a food court on the top floor with restaurants and fast food vendors of every kind. Almost everything you would desire to buy from groceries to the high end jewelry and clothes. Good place to spend time on rainy days. Free parking for cars and even with attendants to secure bicycles for free. Easy walking distance from our hotel in Providencia.
What a beautiful view! There's a paved walkway that you can use to walk along the beach without getting your shoes filled up with sand. There are bars and restaurants along the way with plenty of benches for just sitting and enjoying the view. Underneath some of the restaurants, you'll see public restrooms which can be used for a small fee. Across the street from the beach, there are gift shops and additional restaurants and coffee bars.
