27 floors and two small elevators. Indifferent staff who relish the challenge of arguing or dismissing you. Good size rooms, nice breakfast. The greek restaurant is nice, but they won't deliver to your room. Not really focused on customer satisfaction, but it is quiet and clean. Cleaning staff simply make the bed, change towels and clean porcelain.

You are here in the "old" part of town. Dubai mall is 25aed away....

First of all: this is not a "Five-Star Hotel at Four Star rate" (their slogan) by any means.

It's an OK hotel in a good location but:

1) The shower was completely useless, glad I didn't have to wash my hair

2) There were 16 sunbeds for a 24 floor hotel, ridiculous. You have to be by the pool at a very early hour to get one

3) The poolbar was supposed to open at noon but no one was in sight until 12.30. And they were supposed to serve Greek Salad with Feta (of course) but contriary to the Greek Restaurant 5 meters away they served White Cheese instead for the same price

4) Why have a hotel with balconys in every room when you have to call housekeeping to open it and there are no chairs or tables out there ? And they obviously never clean them, they were VERY dirty

But:

1) The Greek Restaurant was great

2) The room (at 23rd floor) was fantastic in size. And the view was great

3) The English Pub was great

Arrived into Dubai early in the morning at 5 am - which caught the reception staff by surprise. I had to wait for about 30 mins after a long trip despite prior arrangement for an early check-in because staff was unable to let me check in 30 mins before 6 am as they would have to charge me for a full day accommodation if they checked me in before 6 - slight inflexbility but am happy I managed to get a room at 6 am - eventually.....

The views from my hotel room of Dubai is excellent - this hotel is also located 3 mins from the train station , and a mere 10 min walk from Dubai creek.

The breakfast I have to say is really great! Good choices - fresh salads, fruits and egg station.
Had lunch buffet at the restaurant which offers wide range of delicious flavours - really enjoy the meals there. Particularly enjoyed getting my coffee in the morning from a lavazza cafe at ground floor - often served by very friendly waitress.

Room Tip: ask for good views!

Booked the hotel on booking.com at a very competitive price. When I arrived the check-in was fast and all information needed for use of wifi was given. The wifi is free while in the lobby and chargeable in the rooms. As I already had my particulars on the hotel system from a previous stay, I was very fortunately given a free upgrade to a 1 bed apartment, which was very spacious, clean, bright and had two balconies. The air-con was super efficient and they provide two door keys so that one can be used to have the air-con on the whole time. Although I did not use the kitchen, it was perfectly agreeable for cooking any meal with great cupboard space for food etc on a long stay. The breakfast was rather average, although there is an egg station with chef and also interestingly a separate table with heated pan for those wanting pork sausages etc for breakfast. The hotel is quiet and I had a room on the 18th floor. The bedroom was spacious, as was the living area. My 3 night stay was most agreeable and I would use again even if the opportunity for a free upgrade were not available.

Nice, clean room with splendid view of Dubai! Would have liked some furniture on balcony and we had to ask the reception for the balcony to be un-locked (maybe they are worried about people falling down, haha) Can't complain about anything really, it's a nice hotel and you get what you pay for. The staff seemed a little gloomy and blasé sometimes though. Maybe they would use a day at the beach..

In the end of the day we had a lovely few days here so thank you!
