“It is the worst hotel I've ever visited.”

- courtesy of front desk is very low
- Rooms displayed online are just just pictures of coming renovation not the real existing rooms. And the existing rooms are very old and do not deserve to be rated more than 1 star.
- the worst thing happened is that at night when we came back to sleep the lobby was full of drunken bar clients crawling out of the entrance and allowed music from the night club shakes the floor. worst, people coming to the night club used the same lift as hotel guests and they smell of alcohol and tobacco.
- starting from the lobby and continuing to all the rooms and the floors a smell of mold and humidity. It is really disgusting and not healthy at all.
- For us after seeing all these bad things we checked out at late night without sleeping one night.

Well first of all, the real room are ABSOLUTELY NOT the same as those in pictures published online. When you enter the lobby you will see a picture of that lovely room with LCD tv and all with a note underneath saying this is an upcoming upgrade. The existing room however, is old fashion, with an old CRT tv, and bed sheets are, well... To me are questionable at the least. Room amenities are lacking. For example, you don't find that slipper you usually find in hotels.
When you enter the low ceiling lobby, the first thing that catches your attention is not any special decoration, but a moldy humid smell. This smell follows you up to the rooms floors, and some may get used to it but not me. And I guess this is not really hygienic...
In the evening the lobby is full of drunkards stumbling out of the really noisy night club. Also, club dwellers share the same lifts as room guests. This is barely tolerable with the smell of alcohol mixing with tobacco...
Really it's a shame because location on the Dubai creek is nice, but the hotel as is right now Is not recommendable.

The location is adequate with shuttle to the nearest shopping mall with MRT. But rooms cleanness was lacking, no cold water to adjust temperature for bathing , breakfast is poor not up to standard.

I stayed in this hotel for business, location was great and restaurant overlooking the creek. Staff are friendly and rooms are clean and tidy looks like newly refurbished room. The view was the plus for this hotel, always ask for a room with creek view and higher floor you'll love it. Walking distance to the gold souq if you are planning to shop. I like this hotel and the staff. Conceirge are very helpful. Ah swimming is good as well.

Have stayed here many, many times on business. Basic rooms, average cleanliness, average food but brilliant location keeps me coming back. The service is ok but the pool is excellent. You can always eat up the road at the Raddison SAS with its many excellent resturants, pubs etc... but the Dubai traffic is hideous no matter where you go. But from here you can walk or take an abra to many attractions. The docks are across the road for a real view from your window of true local custom, the Gold Souk or Naif Souk are a walk away or cross the creek by abra (local boat) for 1 dirham to access the other side of the city. the Dubai Big Bus tour stops right across the road from the hotel. Very convenient for a short stay and close to the airport.
