For certain, le "Royal" Meridien deserves its name, as our stay was really royal. As a family with a young child we were looking for a comfortable place, convenient and secure. The Royal Meridien fulfilled all our wishes, but on top of that it was gorgeous.
It is difficult to enumerate all the positive aspects. Of course, the service and the rooms were equal to the expectations of a five star resort (which is not always the case). But we definitely appreciated the beauty and calm of the huge garden, with its pools, bars and restaurants reaching up to the beach.
The big choice of restaurants is certainly a very positive point, as the quality of the service and the food are excellent. But be aware that the restaurants are very expensive.
Fore sure, catering isn't Dubai's first quality, as the city is full of fast-food restaurants. But if you take a walk along the nearby promenade, you can find a few "local" restaurants with good food and service for a third of the price paid at the Meridien.More
