Ibis World Trade Centre Dubai
Ranked #243 of 556 Hotels in Dubai
Reviewed 30 June 2012

I stayed for a night in Hotel during the GTEX exhibition in Dubai and was pleasantly surprised for the price I paid. I was accommodated in a Standard room with two single beds. Room size was OK. Cleanliness standards of the Hotel are high. There is not much to be written about this hotel as it serves a very niche customer base of visitors to the exhibition centre and it scores high on that. Wifi in room is chargeable. Staff are friendly, courteous and prompt. The business centre of the hotel is quite good and can cater to all your related needs.
Overall Rating is Satisfied.

yes, the storage space is limited, wifi in the rooms is paid, and the service isn't 4 star. It isn't a 4 star hotel. It is a cheap business and holiday hotel in which to put down your head for the night. It is better than many of this class (including Ibis) elsewhere in the world because of the attached bars / nightclub etc, and proximity to Novotel, with its gym and pool.
If your stay is long enough, you get free use of these facilities, and can also negotiate free in-room wifi too.
The breakfast is good enough - gets you started for the day.
THe manic traffic and taxi noise outside the hotel from midnight to 3am when there is an event on at the WTC is a pain, though.
One thing i'd add? a tiny fridge in each room. not necessarily a mini-bar, but somewhere to keep a bottle of water chilled. air-con really dehydrates you.

Room Tip: choose front of hotel - high up. traffic noise to front, but service yard to rear.

Situated in one of busiest business districts of Dubai, the Ibis (World Trade Centre) is a stone's throw away from the WTC metro station. Smart, Neat and convenient are the first words that pop into you mind even as you step in. The staff are courteous and helpful (multi-lingual, I should add- to cater to the melting pot of nationalities that Dubai is ! )

The rooms are compact (twin sharing basis), with the basic facilities available. All in all, it's good value for money.

Most of the Ibis hotels in Dubai are nice, clean and well cared for. I have stayed at 3 others that are outstanding. The lobby and bar/restaurant at this one are really nice but my room was nasty. First of all, I was given the handicap room (which was located furthest away from the elevator. If you are handicapped, this would be the worst location). The room was smelly and the carpet dirty, and the bathroom would even be a challenge if you were in a wheelchair. Also the website indicated there was a gym. There is a gym, next door in the novotel, but they charge 20AED. A bit misleading. Also, you have to pay for parking. Great location though for the Trade Center.
