Well place, between the palm/marina and the centre, just in the sheik zayed road (you cannot feel the noise) this hotel is within standards (arabian always that are quite good) and it does offer a really pleasure stay.
The rooms where huge, with kitchen included. The restaurant was average but full of food, and really nice staff...
The building contains some offices so it's a bit a 'no charming' feeling....

Anyway, this could be great even for a family as the bedrooms where quite big and clean.

The swimming pool was ok with great views of the burj al arab, and it had a jacuzzi you could use as much as you want.

The worst is that any service or facility (such as wi-fi) is extra charged...

Stayed at the hotel 7 nights. Had booked a studio, but was upgraded to a bigger apartment by a very nice front desk staff. Had a very nice and spacious apartment on the 14th floor, overlooking the Palm and Burj al Arab.
Very nice staff at the hotel.
The problem at Midwest Tower was that either the service was perfect or non-existing.
Either the breakfast (ordered via roomservice) was divine... including really everything one could imagine or terreible with ice cold baked beans, no orange juice or bread as they had missed to put it on the breakfast tray.
Same regarding the cleaning usually the personel did a perfect job....or they forgot to fix our room and we had to call them like 3 times at 8pm to get the room in order. Nice pool area and gym. Some restaurants and coffee shops around the hotel, but usually we took a taxi to Mall of Emirates that is very near and other places, as the Internet City where the hotel is located is quiet.
Wifi is expensive, but on the 2nd floor business center it is foc.
Would recommend this place as good value for many being in Dubai.

Room Tip: Higher floors are more quiet... ask for a room with a sea view!

We stayed at the hotel 1 night over the week-end.

The hotel is in the middle of a business area, so nothing happens over the week-end.
There was hardly anyone staying over that week-end, as well as hardly any staff around. It felt very much like in the movie Shining.... a very scary atmosphere.

Our room was facing the city with the 2x 5-lane roads. Room was simple, clean and ok comfy.

We are going back to Dubai in February but will surely try another place.

I will keep it brief, stayed for 6 nights bed and breakfast plan.

Negative: understaffed, i didn't get anyone to help with luggage on arrival or departure
Deposit charge after pre-paid for hotel stay
Phone is usually busy or no response for room service or reception
Gym reception usually has no one on desk
Outside main pool heating not working
Taxi are not readily available outside, easier to walk to gloria hotel to get one
Charges for water in room and breakfast restaurant (never had this before)
Horrendous traffic noise when opening the window for fresh air, we were on 18th floor facing sheikh zayed road
Expensive internet
Found faulty electrical apparatus which was repaired after 2 days

Positive: Metro station just outside, Dubai Internetcity
Rooms are good size, one bedroom we were in had 2 tv and 2 toilet
You may come across some asian media personailties in gym or restaurant

In 2008, this place was in brink of bankruptcy but investment in service in staff and service is still
limited, people who have stayed elsewhere in dubai on similar budget will clearly see the differences on below par standards. I will not be a repeat business.

Room Tip: Try getting the rooms with burj al arab view

Booked late through Expedia secret hotel. Knew it was in Jumeirah beach area and was a 5 star rating. Arrived early but could not check in til 2pm. You have to enter the hotel from the back as the footpath at the front has not been completed yet. Receptionist was not particularly cheerful and seemed quite short at times. When we returned at 2pm, booking in was relatively painless and did not take too long. All of the other hotel staff were cheerful and extremely helpful.

We had booked a double room but received a one-bedroom apartment on floor 10. It was spacious, tidy and clean and had everything we required. It was cleaned thoroughly every day and clean towels provided. The furnishings were very modern (fully fitted kitchen. leather sofa in lounge, etc.) There was a flat screen TV in both the lounge and the bedroom which had numerous channels to watch, none of which were UK channels, although there were re-runs of UK soaps on one of the American channels. The hotel does not have a bar and is not licensed! If you like a drink in the evening make sure you stock up on arrival at Dubai airport. Some hotels and a few bars and restaurants are licensed, but with most alcoholic drinks starting at around £8, it is worth having some in your room. There is an outdoor pool on floor 6 along with a well equipped gym. Towels are provided and there are plenty of sun beds around the pool. There is a small supermarket around the corner (about 5 min walk) which is handy to stock up on soft drinks and snacks. There is ample space in the apartment fridge.

The hotel is right next to the Dubai Internet City metro station. We used the metro regularly to get around and found it to be extremely good value. A one day travel pass was 16 dirham (around £3 at current exchange rates) and could be used as often as needed during the day. The metro was very impressive. It runs on time and is very clean and tidy. All of the announcements are in English and Arabic making it very easy to navigate around the many tourist attractions. The Burj Khalifa and Dubai Mall are approx 25mins (plus a 10 min walk) and the Mall of the Emirates is approx 15 min and is directly linked to the metro via a short air conditioned walk. The Dubai Marina is also about 15 min on the metro.

Walking around Dubai is difficult because of all the roadworks taking place which mean that the footpath disappears. That said, we did manage to walk to the nearest public beach which took around 15 minutes.

Overall we enjoyed our stay and will certainly visit Dubai again. The hotel was in a good location for many of the attractions, however I would not agree that this hotel is a 5 star as there is no bar. In my opinion it is at best a 4 star hotel.
