“Experience of a lifetime”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 July 2012

Me hubby and 2 boys aged 8and 3 just back from 2 weeks. Hotel is amazing. So much to do that we will need to return to do it all! Dolphin adventure was so good and you get about 40 mins with them, such amazing experience for adults and children alike! Food is top quality though disappointed with speed of service and food at locatelli which was just like an average pizza and pasta joint....not a 2 Michelin star as advertised. However that aside the other restaurants were excellent. Favourite being rostang, both for breakfast and dinner. They have special deals once a week where wine is included for only 15 pound each, which is well worth the cost as a bottle is 30 min. Drink is expensive, about £8 a pint, but if you are smart enough to stop in duty free before you leave the airport you can have a wee apprative on the balcony after dinner! Hotel staff are extremely well trained and courteous, a huge thank you to Nivrijana on 12 th floor( spelling?) who looked after our room. What a lovely guy and nothing was too much trouble....hotel management take note as he really made it a luxury experience, kids loved his towel puppies, croc, monkeys etc, and always checking with us when we wanted room serviced. Bonus deserved! Room was very nice on east tower looked over both gulf and palm/city, as well as the aquarium below which was unbelievable. Look out for the giant grouper who we call big bad Barry (kids) but the rays and sharks also unreal experience. Apparently hotel as own ozone system which we experienced as one afternoon there was a thunder storm across jumeria but we had a cLear sky, and they also tell u this on the back office tour. Water park good but we bit too old for the 3 year old, even the kids section as it dumps water over the water play every few mins which he isn't in to. Rest good but very hot as the area just absorbs heat, preferred pool area and loungers with the individual shade sat zero entry pool. Staff provide cucumber for eyes, ice pops, cold towels, with service to you so no need to go yourself for drinks. Food at pool very nice, come in tiffin boxes, my advice is if you do want lunch after a big breakfast get one between two as portions are enormous. Also recommend nisimi beach for evening dinner if you want a relaxed affair and food( tacos, burger, steak, chips, club sandwich) lots too choose but more chilled if your palate gets fed up of the rich micheline food ;.). All in all an amazing time had, well done to the hotel as it delivers on all levels, can't recommend more highly. Thank you for a brilliant holiday. Will return.

Room Tip: I liked the east wing as close to breakfast restaurants and aquarium. May Be worthupgrading at rec...

This hotel is great as a stopover for traveling from australia to Europe (especially with children). The water park attached to the hotel is fantastic.
Their are many restaurant choices, great gym and spa/ massage facilities.
We have stayed here several times on our way to Europe with our young daughter.
Breakfast is expensive but a great experience with loads of choice.

Room Tip: Rooms are slightly cheaper if stay on levels 1-6 but you don't get the Dubai/sea view.

To start , You should have patience to check in to this hotel, 3 hrs?? Yes u can take upto 3 hrs to check in and check out with LONG ques and rooms not being ready when u arrive.

Aquapark - no exclusivity for hotel guests, one can expect to wait upto an hour for each ride. Waters sells for 50 dirhams in the park... Its robbery.Local people break thru ques and leave u at lurch on each ride. No lifts , u may have to climb up to 4 story's to a ride.
This aquapark is not meant for 16 year and above

Food and room - food layout and rooms ( ocean view) are only saviors, this is surely unbeatable
Please have your package done with water as u will run away with the price up to 18 D for each water bottle even when meals are in package.

Overall experience - hotel decor and layout is spectacular but comfort of being in a five star, sorry choose another place

Stayed there for a night on a summer deal, they took a while to find us a room (though did upgrade us in the end when we asked when it would be ready) however they also added two hours onto our checkout time, so not all bad (though the process of checking out actually took 20 minutes). It's definitely a family focussed hotel, but still worth a visit if you're not with children as it's a pretty impressive place. Aquaventure entry is thrown in as well which adds some value, and staff are generally excellent and very attentive.

In Feb., 2012 we spent 4 glorious nights in Palm Atlantis. The journey from the airport viewing some magnificent buildings and tower was breathtaking specially " The Palm Mile". Entrance to the hotel lobby is glamourous while the Lobby is simply stunning.
The magnificent 30 metres tall glass sculpture inside the dome is made by Dale Chihuly, a renowned American glass sculptor.
Everywhere you went your experience was just amazing and the DAY and NIGHT view of the same hotel is simply stunning. Staff are excellent and the security all around made one very safe indeed.

Room Tip: Our room on 21st Floor gave us superb view of the area and the room with 700 Sq. m area was beautifu...
