Stayed at this hotel a week back, but usually stay at the Marriott. I must say what a difference it made to my week long trip to the Kingdom. The hotel is well laid out, had a couple of dinning options from the conventional buffet to Spears for Argentinian BBQ and the Fish Market.
If you dont feel like using the well equipped gym and it is not too hot then you can walk over the road and walk along the corniche to view the Jeddah fountain, that is reported to e taller than the one in Geneva. There are plenty of restaurants to choose from in the local area serving traditional arabic, fish and other local dishes and if your missing your burgers - there is a McDonalds two minutes walk from the hotel.
I would recommend the club level where you can have breakfast in peace and quiet. At night they serve unlimited hot canapies along with a selection of non alcoholic beverages.
