Albilad Hotel isn't Five Star and it doesn't pretend to be. It's an honest Four Star hotel that does it's best for its customers. I had one problem while I was there -- a breakfast waiter who was too keen to remove dishes from the table, even taking away the saucer while I held the coffee cup to my mouth -- but I drew management's attention to this and I'm sure it will be fixed. Breakfast is fine and evening meals are good -- I and a guest ate the barbecue one night and we were really pleased by quality, service and price. Wireless email wasn't working in my room but I'm assured it usually is. There was no safe in my room and I do think a safe is necessary. Nevertheless, it's a good business hotel and I'll be staying there again. Overall, I think it sets out to appeal even more to local people wanting coffee or a meal and that means the food offer may be a little better than the room offer, but the rooms are fine.
When I read through this review I seem to be damning with faint praise -- but what you need to remember is that there aren't any good hotels in Jeddah -- I mean that; there are none -- and this one competes well while being half the price of some I could mention. Stay here. You won't be disappointed.
