The temple is quite beautiful and amazing! It's in a very good condition. I've been not in the museum just outside watching the nice buildings and gardens. There is also an exhibition with the old cars of the king, interesting!

Considering the price, we were disappointed at the lack of information provided and weren’t even allowed to go inside the temple - we could only look outside.
The museum was quite interesting and the grounds were nice to walk around, however we were just expecting a little more.

Lots of reviewers moaning about the fact that photography is not allowed inside the palace, wat or car collection themselves but I think this actually makes spending time here MUCH more enjoyable as there is no need to pause to wait for the next identikit group photo/selfie to be snapped. Anyway, to the attraction itself! The wat by the main entrance is one of the most impressive in the old town and contains the valuable Luang Buddha statue. Beautiful interior and exterior. The car collection is interesting for 10 minutes. But what I enjoyed most in the complex was the throne room of the palace. The palace might not be anywhere near the scale of European or other Asian complexes but the central chamber is breathtakingly decorated with gold and brightly coloured murals. And none of it is ruined by humanity’s search for the perfect pic...bonus!

I was disappointed with paying an admission fee then walking to the lockers where you MUST store your handbag or backpack and told I must pay 50000 kip for a wrap to cover my legs even though my shorts are knee length. I decided to skip going inside the museum but noticed people who were wearing shorts AND had a guide were allowed in.

Thank jing x

Not much in terms of information here. But the grounds are very pretty and the throne room is magnificent. Good for an hour of your time.
