We traveled with our children through Luang Prabang and enjoyed breakfast at L'etranger every morning. The Stars and Stripes was a family favorite and we never tired of having the same dish every morning. Tea and smoothies were delicious, staff was wonderful and so attentive. Movie night was also fun! A must-stop place.

We visited L'etranger for tea and breakfast. It was peaceful and loved the decoration. Specially the chill out style area upstairs where you sit around on cushions the tables and sip your tea. The food is delish and the variety of teas is amazing.

I went to L'etranger to watch The Shape of Water which is an incredible film. The movies are free but you need to order something so we just got some drinks. Just remember to get in early so you get a comfy spot.

Lovely cafe, bookstore, local craft shop downstairs and art gallery and seating area upstairs where they show free movies every evening which are advertised on a board outside. You need to buy at least a drink for the movies, but there is a good menu of snacks too. We had the aubergine dip which comes with sticky rice which was lovely.

Good way to spend an evening in LP. Room can get chilly so be sure to take warm clothes unless it's been v hot during the day.

We visited twice. Once for the shop of Laos artisan items, and once for the food and movie. The items in the store are beautiful, but at fair trade prices - we brought several items. To go to the movie you need to purchase a meal, there are reclining seats so all very confertable. The food was ok, and we really enjoyed just taking a break and watching ‘the big sick’ movie in this case. There is also tea tasting from 3-5 pm that we didn’t try.
