Stayed for a night before my flight abroad and was somewhat bitterly disappointed - more so because these things can easily be fixed - after staying at other Ramada properties elsewhere.
Positives:
1. Location - minutes from the airport and the main travel route - Shahra-e-faisal
2. Great buffet/food in restaurant - Le T
3. Pool
4.5. Porters are good
5. Feel of a good resort, reasonably good space (but unfortunately seem to be let down by management and lack of imagination and customer focussed business sense)
Negatives:
1. Terrible housekeeping - double room with 2 pax booking had single utilities and toiletries, when complained, despite okays, no response for hours
2. No fridge or minibar in room
3 - No flat screen tvs on the wall
4. Sink tap angle is so bad that it leaks on to the floor or your shirt
5. No mosquito or insect spray, given the greenry around, had to ask for one but no response.
6. Health and Spa service is sooo bad, terrible attitude, no professional approach or understanding of basic professional massage, just smugness and cheap approach to get more money out of customers don't want to add more for now but I hope powers that be will get my point....
7. Reception is generally seems full of factionalism where one part of management or staff contradict or undermined other - usually chatting among themselves or counting cash instead of attending to customers. No professionalism, no smile, courtesy or niceness - might be different to Westerners but not so to brown skin or local folks - inferiority complex or just total unprofessionalism, not sure? Front office need a better lay out, more seating area and welcoming and professional front office management. I hope the GM and the franchise owners are reading this...
8. Bad exchange rates in house - so much difference in a bad way to outside.
9. Jacuzzi and pool need to be cleaned every two hours - had hair and rubbish in it, the guy responsible was too busy looking for tips and serving foreigners that he forgot locals and basic cleaning.
10. Cockroaches in shower, toilet and changing areas around the swimming pool, needs regular cleaning and discreet and punctual staff at all time. Also, need outside open showers in shade area for a quick wash after swim. Need to encourage family friendly atmosphere, more cleanliness and polite and on the ball management/staff for repeat or more custom.
11. Near the pool - tea, karak chai and drinks are of terrible quality and extortionately priced for what they offer. Seating needs to be slightly moved away and more loungers put in - instead of staff staring at you all the time.
