We spent our Honeymoon in Tunisia,
We stayed at this hotel for 1 WEEK.
This hotel is very under rated. Staff's are very well dressed and very freindly.
Spoke to the Manager about this hotel & he was very freindly towards us.
The bodygaurds were helpful.
Defiantly coming back to MOVENPICK hotel!!!!!!!!

Room Tip: 6th floor large room had excellent view!!

More than impressed with our 7 night stay (April 14th-21st 2012) in this very clean, efficient, friendly, accommodating hotel. Professional staff, courteous, helpful, great facilities, huge site, clean, beautiful pool areas etc etc. Breakfast served from 3:30am 'til midday - good for everyone. Dinner buffet was fine, huge variety in fact, something for everyone. Some food warm rather than hot but isn't this the case with all mass catering?? I would give this hotel 9.5/10! Please hotel manager, give rooms FREE coffee/tea refills every day - what is the cost compared to customer satisfaction? A little gesture to give your guests a smile in the morning!

Room Tip: A pool view should include a partial sea view too so don't worry about not getting a "sea view" room.

We have just returned from a week in this hotel. The negatives - a room with no view, even though the hotel appeared to have low occupancy. A kettle and cups, but after the first day, no refills of tea or coffee. Very busy on a couple of occasions with business conferences, where the locals shoved past me. No fresh fruit at breakfast. The positives - Lovely big bedrooms and bathrooms. Very clean. Friendly and helpful staff (apart from a couple of receptionists) Nice food with a huge selection. We loved the tapas in the small restaurant which was included in our half board booking. Fab pancakes at breakfast! Nice relaxing piano playing and singing. The spa treatment was worth every penny - have the hammam! I've never been scrubbed like that before, but it was an amazing experience. The sunbeds have lovely soft cushioning with towels included. The hotel is right on the beach which is kept clean and is great for couples and children alike. All in all - a great hotel 20 minutes walk into the markets, which are again an amazing if slightly intimidating experience. (Ladies take trousers to walk around. I felt very uncomfortable with the looks I got wearing shorts and bought a pair of jeans to change into) I'd definately return.

Room Tip: Try to get a higher level room. We were on the second floor with a view of a tunnel!

A fantastic hotel. Everything is done to a very high standard. The staff are very friendly and helpful and take great pride in their work. The room was cleaned very well each day with lovely personal touches like rose petals on the bed on the last night. We didn't have a very good experience in the buffet restaurant on the first night as it was incredibly busy but that just turned out to be a 'one off' and every other night was fantastic. We took up the option of dining in the tapas restaurant on two nights where the food was delicious and again, the service exceptional. We wanted some spring sun in a beautiful hotel close to a place that we could discover and explore. The Movenpick, being only a walk from the Medina certainly gave us that. To top it all off we had two pampering spa treatments which were the height of luxury in amazing surroundings. One VERY small gripe... Coffee and tea sachets are not replaced after the first two complimentary ones are used. We thought this was unfair so "borrowed" a few from breakfast!

Moevenpick hotel - Sousse Tunisia
I have been twice and the service is getting worse.
When we booked the room we booked sea view and we did not get the correct room.

The cleaning staff and the restaurant staff are brilliant. They are very helpful and accommodating.
We are in April and the temperature is raising (room temperature at night about 27 centigrade). The room air-conditioning will give hot air regardless whether you put it on hot or cold because they do not start the cold until May.

The first Weekend was a disaster, they invite the local people and the hotel was out of control even the staff apologised for the behaviour of their local people. It was chaos for two days.
I can understand the hotel needs to make money but they need to organise the situation better.

The management of the hotel run by two managers one is a Swiss and the second Tunissian. The Swiss manager is very active he tries everything to make sure everything is satisfactory where the Tunissian manager he walks all day long and the phone attached to his ear. He needs to be more active and engage with people.

The chap who is responsible for the front desk (he wears different colour suit from the rest), he is miserable and he needs to take some lesson on customer relation. The rest of the front desk staff are very helpful.

They need to engage more with guests, train staff to have better customer relation and make guests want to come again and again.

I have been around so many five stars hotels (Dubai, Beirut, Amman, Cairo, Agader etc) I will not rate this hotel as five stars.
