The city wall itself is an amazing "must see," but the view from every part of the wall is breathtaking. The wall is over a mile long and it costs 150 Kuna (about $23) to access it, but it is well worth the effort and price. Be advised that even after the steep climb to access the wall, there are many places where you climb even higher, but those are some of the best views. About every 50 feet, there's a new "must see" view. Of all the photos I took, I could only narrow it down 44 that were unique and irreplaceable.

A trip requirement! Loved it. Make sure to time it right so you are not there at midday in the full heat of the sun. Would do it again if I am luck y enough to return.

I don't know why it is $10 to walk the walls around Dubrovnik, but it was worth the price. Great views and a good way to familiarize yourself with the layout of Old Town.

the city walls where amazing the views where out of this world and there are plenty of cafe's to stop at. i would advise doing the city walls either early morning or late evening as it can get very hot with little shelter

Anyone visiting Dubrovnik should not skip the walk along the top of the city wall. It gives you a sense of history as well as beauty. We especially enjoyed the south side of the wall. You can not only see the entire old town, but also the high cliffs along the sea. Along the way there are many photo opportunities.

Do it. You will not regret walking around the walls. I will say that it is difficult at some points since there are over 1,000 stairs on the wall, but it is totally worth it. The sights are out of a magical book and you will be amazed the entire time at what you are looking at. Also, there are places to sit and rest at restaurants along the way. You can't come to this city without doing the walls. It is a must.

Truly an amazing piece of history to be here. Views of the city, the sea, and the old city are spectacular. But if you have mobility issues I would not recommend this - there are lots of stairs and uneven bits. We saw numerous people struggling and it wasn't pleasant for them.

Walking along the walls in the most popular thing to do in Dubrovnik. The walls circulate around the old city and offer spectacular views of the city and coast. It costs 150 Kunas ($23) and they say it takes about 45 - 1 hour. We took our time, stopped a lot for photos so it took us about 2 hours. There was a cafe along the way to buy drinks if needed. Keep your ticket as it will give you free entrance to the fortress (which costs 50 kuna) if used within 3 days.

This walk is not for the faint hearted as there are lots of steps in the 1.5m walk.Try to pick a day when the Cruise Ships are not in the city harbour. When they are the walk can be quite slow and very crowded. The views of the city and the sea from the walls are spectacular! All the climbing of the steps was worthwhile.

We paid to walk the ancient city walls and it was one of my favourite things to do in Dubrovnik. The views are breath taking and the architecture of the city can be well appreciated whilst walking above everyone.
Would definitely recommend this to everyone.
