Beautiful setting with lovely salt water pool. Rooms were musty and halls stunk of floral scent suggesting an attempt to cover up the mustiness. The restaurants were generally overpriced and not that great. I will not return here.

We got a great welcome from reception, with a very quick check in,once our room was ready. Staff were excellent and very informative. We had asked for a top floor room, with sea view and balcony, in a quiet part of the hotel and got exactly what we had requested......( Room 715 ) with an amazing sea view and one also of the old town! We are on a B & B basis, so have not tried evening meals here, but the breakfast selection is superb and can be taken on one of the beautiful terraces overlooking the sea. My husband is a coeliac and there is plenty of food for him, even a 'Gluten free Corner' on a separate table! There are beautiful garden areas, where one can relax and read, as well as terraces, all facing the sea. There is a seawater pool and an indoor one also,as well as a Spa and gym. Swimming in the sea is safe and wonderful, one can dive / jump in, or go in by two ladders, which are beside by the pool. Nice loungers and parasols are always available. The Old Town is a ten minute walk downhill and one can get a taxi back up for €6. There is also a bus stop opposite the hotel ( No. 8 ) and the bus will leave you to the old town gates ( 5 kuna each and 15 kuna each on the return trip to the hotel, as it has to go the longer way back, because of the one way system! ) Bedroom service is excellent, towels replaced twice a day and every member of staff is so friendly and helpful and they all speak good English. Excursions can be booked in the hotel lobby. We are having a wonderful holiday in Grand Villa Argentina and will highly recommend it and hope to return to the Agentina and this beautiful country in the future!

Room tip: Sea view, in new wing, with balcony.

A stylish hotel mixing historical villa buildings with more recent modern development. Excellent facilities, with spa, indoor and outdoor pools sea swimming, and lovely gardens. Great views to the old city and to the island. Boasts a fine dining restaurant with Peruvian/Mediterranean fusion cuisine. Excellent breakfast buffet. Main restaurant indoors lacks atmosphere, but the outdoor terraces are lovely. Reception staff especially kind and service-oriented. Restaurant service seemed to be lacking in experience.

Room tip: If you can afford it, take a room with balcony and sea view.

Just returned from our honeymoon and simply had the best time of our lives in this beautiful hotel. From the minute we arrived the service was first class and even got an upgrade to a sea view with the views being breath-taking. Dubrovnik is a wonderful place to go and the lovely weather certainly helped. Will definitely be returning one day.

We had a standard room on first floor of hotel, which afforded us one of the best views in Croatia: the Adriatic with all its nautical activity and a view of Lokrum Island. Hotel has two swimming pools--one inside and one outside. Beds very comfortable. Breakfast nice choices, with option for hot meal orders. Ten minute walk to Old City.
