We got a great welcome from reception, with a very quick check in,once our room was ready. Staff were excellent and very informative. We had asked for a top floor room, with sea view and balcony, in a quiet part of the hotel and got exactly what we had requested......( Room 715 ) with an amazing sea view and one also of the old town! We are on a B & B basis, so have not tried evening meals here, but the breakfast selection is superb and can be taken on one of the beautiful terraces overlooking the sea. My husband is a coeliac and there is plenty of food for him, even a 'Gluten free Corner' on a separate table! There are beautiful garden areas, where one can relax and read, as well as terraces, all facing the sea. There is a seawater pool and an indoor one also,as well as a Spa and gym. Swimming in the sea is safe and wonderful, one can dive / jump in, or go in by two ladders, which are beside by the pool. Nice loungers and parasols are always available. The Old Town is a ten minute walk downhill and one can get a taxi back up for €6. There is also a bus stop opposite the hotel ( No. 8 ) and the bus will leave you to the old town gates ( 5 kuna each and 15 kuna each on the return trip to the hotel, as it has to go the longer way back, because of the one way system! ) Bedroom service is excellent, towels replaced twice a day and every member of staff is so friendly and helpful and they all speak good English. Excursions can be booked in the hotel lobby. We are having a wonderful holiday in Grand Villa Argentina and will highly recommend it and hope to return to the Agentina and this beautiful country in the future!
