We booked this hotel a few months in advance by taking chance of a booking.com extraordinary promotion for one week in a five stars hotel, two rooms apartment with balcony overlooking the sea and breakfast included. The photos were stunning and so was it for real when we entered the room. Definitely worth any penny put into it, all the more so our teenager had her own bathroom and restrooms and we enjoyed a bar counter with a mini cooking place (fridge, microwave, etc.). The hotel is the nicest one of this big complex of four hotels so four different pools and one spa facility. The Castile restaurant was great for breakfast and snacks (do order the room service it is cool and at a bargain) but they lost their Chef one month ago and regular lunch is a bit disappointing. Other restaurants are nearby by using the sea promenade. In brief it was stunning to watch the incredible sunsets on the sea, to hear the waves crashing to the rocks below you, to enjoy taking the most beautiful pictures in this paradise. We were lucky enough to benefit from a summer time The last week of October and it was a pure pleasure. Staff is very nice also but waiters at breakfast seem a little bit sad. The room decor is absolutely gorgeous and I envied the drapes, the giant mirror or even the king size bed. Our room was one of the least expensive of the hotel but huge and amply sufficient for our needs. Do not miss it.

We stayed for 5 nights from Oct 23. Organised car to pick us up from airport which was great, 35 euro. Hotel was very nice. Room ready when we arrived at 12:30 which was great. Room 3311 which was large 2 room suite facing the ocean. The sea view is a must here and worth the extra money. Large balcony also. Breakfast was great, mad busy on the Monday morning but after that it was great. Pool area also good and gym well kitted out. Bus stop to town just a few mins walk down the road. Overall excellent hotel and would definitely stay again if back in Dubrovnik.

Room tip: Book a sea view room

Myself and my partner stayed at this hotel for four nights from October 22nd-26th. On arrival the hotel reception area is very beautiful. We checked in at 12 and had to wait until 3 for our room key. We got told by the receptionist to sit down and a drink will be sent over, after waiting 40 minutes I had to go up and ask for our drinks. Slightly annoying after a long early morning journey. When we finally got our room key we was welcome by a maid huffing and puffing cause she'd not finished cleaning that automatically made entering our beautiful suite for the first time uncomfortable! So was didn't have the greatest of starts.
However, the sea view suite was fantastic, wonderful views, comfortable bed, plenty of storage, very clean and spacious. The room is one of the nicest i've stayed ever stayed in. It's a nice distance to the old town but far away enough that you can relax. The next morning (sunday 23rd oct) we decided to have a lie in and head down to breakfast at 10am, breakfast finished at 10:30 giving us half an hour to have a quick bite to eat. When we arrived there was no clean tables, no hot food left at all and lots of unhappy waitresses. We had a long day out planned in dubrovnik and we couldnt even get a breakfast, we put some apples in our bag (pretty much the only thing left) and headed out for the day! This service just did not seem right in a five star hotel!
Overall, despite problems with staff management and service, the location and rooms in this hotel would be the only thing that would bring us back. The hotel needs to sharpen up on really looking after their guests.

Room tip: Get the sea view

Such a amazing hotel. Nothing is too much trouble. Not really a place for children but they were accommodated non the less. Perfect for romantic breaks. Amazing sea view. Unfortunately we didn't upgrade to a room with a sea view but I would definitely do so if there was a next time. Lots of choice at breakfast just a little too cold. Rooms are fab. Spa, pools etc very good. Upon finding a dead bird on the balcony which was removed instantly we received free cake, water and a voucher for a free massage. Very pleased. Highly recommended. Easy to get to old town etc. xx

Dubrovnik itself it quite expensive but obviously it is a beautiful place so worth it at times. One thing I learnt is always check reviews for restaurants and stay away from restaurants with touts. We got ripped off a couple of times.
