We really enjoyed our stay at Villa Antipodes. It was just my mother and I, so we used the two upstairs bedrooms and didn't make use of the third downstairs bedroom.
We found the host to be very friendly and the seamless airport pickup and drop off to be helpful when landing in an unfamiliar place.
Be prepared for a lot of stairs. We counted about 70+ steps up from the street to the front door of the villa. Each step was a ramp so the climb was about double. My 70+ mother had to stop to catch her breath a couple of times on each journey to the front door. Also, the bottom of the stairs is still a fair climb up from the old town, even though it's really close. So you'll earn your pizza and wine.
We found the villa to be as pictured, clean, well appointed. The bed was really comfortable.
My only complaints were that the dishwasher broke prior to our visit and wasn't fixed while we were there, and nothing was offered to make up for this (slight discount or anything), so that was disappointing. Also, the villa is dark. There isn't a good way to get much natural light into the place and the outdoor space is also dark and doesn't really have a view at all. There is a house across the street which blocks most of the view/light. So we didn't really feel inclined to spend time there, we just slept there and had breakfast.
A truly special villa which is well managed and has everything you need to make your stay amazing. We were well looked after by Cvjetko and Dube and our whole experience at the villa exceeded our expectations.
We traveled here with our 3 adult sons, after stops in Munich and Zagreb and Hvar. This villa was the best by far. It is spacious, beautifully furnished and in a great location. The three bedrooms and two and a half baths fit everyone perfectly. We were able to cook dinners and enjoy the meals outdoors on the terrace. We saw fireworks over the water one night from the upstairs balcony off the master bedroom. The internet is quick and reliable, the TV and CD player are first rate. We walked to the old town every day, several times a day, despite the steps. It was worth every step. We all agreed that if we could have place in Dubrovnik, this would be it. It could not have been any nicer! Thank you so much for sharing it with us.

We had a fantastic family break at the villa. It is up a steep pathway, which can be tricky with bags but once you arrive it is worth it. Very convenient for the Old town and for getting the ferry to Lockrum. Would highly recommend.
This is an absolutely beautiful place that allows you to live likes local close to old town. There are many steps in Dubrovnik and there are a good number up to the apartment but it lets you enjoy the wonderful food without guilt. There was absolutely nothing missing in this well appointed apartment and the terrace is a wonderful amenity. The host is very thoughtful and helps with the baggage up the steps. We just wished we had stayed longer as we lived to explore the alleys of old town. I would definitely recommend this place to friends.
