Having booked an apartment with two rooms we found ourselves with a complete house and home! Wow. 4 balconies, sea views and a beautiful lounge - all part of the 'apartment'; our hosts provided a warm welcome, drinks in the garden; a taxi service and even a snack on arrival. We were treated like royalty! A local store was only yards away, as were two lovely restaurants. What more could visitors ask??
Oh yes, a longer stay next time!!!
We arrived here after spending time in Split and cruising the islands, and before heading off to Montenegro and Zagreb. Our hosts, Noemi and Vlaho were wonderful. We loved this place so much, the views from the decks are stunning, that we took our time there to just relax and recharge for the next phase of our trip. The apartment was very comfortable. The location is not far from the old part of Dubrovnik in a residential area with easy access to transportation if needed. I would highly recommend Apartment Lise to my friends and any other travelers looking for a beautiful apartment and wonderful hosts!!
On arrival we were greeted by our hosts with a freshly baked cake and refreshment and shown the workings of the apartment. We later enjoyed a coffee and informative talk on what to see etc. Apartment is well located with bus stop and small supermarket and bakery a short walk away.
Great location handy for both old city, beaches and harbour. Fabulous clean comfortable apartment with all we needed. Wonderful friendly hosts who gave us a regular supply of coffee and cake and helped with planning trips
Dubrovnik is stunning. The walled city is gorgeous, the restaurants are lovely and many to choose from, the people were so friendly and helpful. Croatia has the cleanest, clearest, green/blue sea I have ever seen, Not sandy beaches but rocks and pebbly beaches which wasn't a problem for us, you can rent a sun bed.
But what made our holiday very special was Noemi and Vlaho's hospitality. They are so informative, friendly and helpful. Join them for a coffee or cold drink, they have very big hearts and Noemi makes lovely cakes! Vlaho will drop/collect you from the airport for 260 kuna or to the port for free. The apartment is just perfect. Clean, spacious with amazing views from the sun terraces. Washing machine, dishwasher, air con and two loos. It's a 15-20 min nice walk to the Old City or can get a bus. The nearest swimming area is stunning, take the path on the left hand side of the Rixos Hotel. Beautiful green sea to swim in and a cave to explore. We spent our last day at the Rixos Hotel to use their pool or gym for 100 kuna each, although I preferred swimming in the sea! Grocery shop, bakery and pizza takeaway all close by. We took a bus to Lapad and went to the Cave Bar at the More Hotel - was like something out of James Bond! We walked half of the city walls (was very hot) and took a 90 min Game of Thrones and City Tour with Dubrovnik Walking Tours. Our tour guide Laura was an extra in GOT and told us a lot of what went on during filming. We choose the 7pm tour as slightly cooler at that time. We also went on a boat trip to the Elaphite Islands, an all day tour of 3 islands. On the first two islands we just had enough time to go to one of the beach bars and have a drink and snack. On the last island we had 3 hours so went swimming and there were nice shops in the harbour. Lunch on the boat was included. Vlaho can arrange this for you. Thank you Noemi and Vlaho for making our first holiday to Croatia just perfect.
