We stumbled across the Café Royal after some aimless wandering around the old town and being ready for some refreshments. A row of tables were laid out in front of the hotel and the waiter asked if we wanted some coffee. We sat down and ordered a coffee for Mrs FB2000 and a black tea with milk for myself, which were promptly served.
We are able to relax and watch the Café’s terrace space expand as the market traders in Gundelic Square packed up for the day and were replaced by tables, chairs and umbrellas.
We didn’t eat but looking at the lunchtime specials on their board it seemed reasonably priced compared to other places we looked at in the old town, and the bill for our two drinks came to 52 Kuna. I thought this was comparatively reasonable
All the staff we met were very polite and friendly
