“Just back September 2012”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 September 2012

We stayed for a week in this hotel on a B&B basis.
The welcome at reception was friendly and efficient and our room turned out to be spacious with a vast comfortable bed. The bathroom was large and spotless with two basins, bath and efficient shower. Housekeeping could not be faulted with regular towel and sheet changes.

The real plus was the air conditioning, it was very hot outside and the system really pulled down the room temperature quickly and quietly.

Breakfast ran from early to 10.30, did not run out and provided a better choice than we have experienced elsewhere in Europe.

Extras such as drinks, coffees and laundry were very fairly priced.

It is an easy 20 minute walk to the town/harbour but there is a regular bus service from outside the hotel.

Split is well worth a visit and this hotel added to our stay.

Room Tip: We were at the back on the third floor, very quiet but we understand the rooms to the front are soun...

This hotel is located about 25 minutes walk from the marina in Split, and a 275 Kuna taxi ride from the airport.

I spent 3 nights here with my girlfriend. Our room was one of the largest in the hotel (based on the floor plan) and had a large bathroom with bath, fridge, ample cupboards and free WiFi. The TV system was a bit complicated to sort out and most channels were German or dubbed films. The air conditioning system was good and very quiet but effective. The blackout curtains were good at keeping the morning sunlight out as well as shielding the lightening flashes that lit up the sky for 2 of the 3 nights!

The service of the staff was very good, with phone calls to recption being picked up after 1 or 2 rings even at busy times. I also managed to borrow a corkscrew from the bar staff during a wedding reception - I might have stood out a little bit.

The pool and spa at the hotel is a nice way to spend the afternoon if the weather turns nasty.
There is a sauna, steam room, showers, pool, jacuzzi and some sort of bath filled with stones and cold water that's supposed to improve circulation (still unsure about that claim....)

One strange thing about the hotel was that there was music playing in the corridors at a volume high enough to hear clearly through the bedroom door. I think the staff might have been having a sweepstake to see how late it would be when they were called to switch the music off. Still, after the phone call to the front desk the music was stopped right away.

The food was very good at breakfast with fresh fruit, cheeses, bread and cakes. There was a coffee machine which made decent drinks with a selection of teas and hot chocolate as well. Juices were als provided, but no fresh eggs service.
We ate dinner there one night as the storm raged outside and it was very good with prompt waiter service.

Overall, this hotel is highly recommended if you're looking for somewhere nice to stay in Split that isn't in the busy tourist area. It's not too long a walk to get to the marina (where most excursions depart from), has very nice rooms and good service from the staff.

I was a bit disappointed with this hotel, as they charged us a high rate and the hotel pictures looked promising.
Indeed, The rooms are very spacious, comfortable, clean and modern.
However, I thought the level of service was not adequate for a good hotel. The breakfast was disappointing and so was the services of the concierge (they did not give us enough details on the ferries to the Croatian islands). The location is terrible, in a very ugly avenue.
All in all, we had a comfortable one night stay, but I simply thought the hotel was too expensive for what it offers.

stayed here during tour of Croatia and must admit the jet lag had caught up to me so all I experienced was the room and dinner. Room was great - very spacious and terrifically large bathroom. Loved the personal control of temperature and wireless internet.
Hotel meal was ok for dinner - nothing super spectacular. Breakfast was also fine - decent choices although the scrambled eggs were a little runny.
Sounds like I am being a bit negative, but overall it was just fine - I would stay here again. Too bad we were all too tired to walk into Old Town as there didn't seem to be much close by to the hotel after 9pm.
PS - the Croation football team was staying here when we were and that was a highlight!

The Atrium Hotel is fabulous. My family and I stayed 2 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. The location is perfect, about 15 min. walk to Old Town. (I'm not sure why people are saying it's a 'far walk'). The spa services were luxurious with a wonderful lap pool, sauna, steam room, robes, big towels. Our room was great and modern with a huge bathroom. Breakfast and dinner were both exceptional and a very friendly staff always ready to accommodate. There's also a casino, which is quite the experience to visit. I would more than recommend this hotel to any traveler!!
