There are many good things about Hotel Globo. The staff are excellent, helpful and friendly. Probably the friendliest group of people we have met in the course of two visits to Croatia. The hotel was very clean, room generally ok but dated and bed very comfortable. It is also only 10 minutes walk from the old town.

On the other hand it does not have a restaurant or any kind of fitness facilities so I cannot see how it rates as a four star hotel.

It is also in a rather dingy (though seemingly safe) part of Split and has views over some very ugly buildings.

If you get a reasonable price for staying there and you are a cost conscious traveller I would highly recommend it. If you are expecting the luxury you can get in many other 4* hotels in Croatia, you will be very disappointed.

The hotel is a modern building in somewhat residential area with local apartments. Rooms are basic but very comfortable. A firm king size bed was welcome after a long day of travel from the west coast of Canada. Staff are very hospitable and assist in every way possible. Recommendations for restaurants and walking tours were excellent and 'age' appropriate. LOL. The room came with a hot breakfast served in a separate room with linen table clothes and other amenities.
The location of the hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the seashore promenade. Price is commensurate with quality and location. Very good value over all.

Great hotel with friendly helpful staff. Location is fantastic, only a 10 minute walk to the main centre. Rooms were clean and spacious and breakfast has a good range and started early!
After missing our flight, the hotel concierge was extremely helpful in looking up our options and making calls - sorry we didn't get your name but thanks so much!

Upon arrival at the we were greeted by very efficient and friendly front desk members of staff. They made us feel very welcome.
The hotel itself is in a quiet location about 15 minute walk to the main tourist sights and sites of Split. It is ideal in my opinion as it mixes quiet with lively bars and restaurants not far away.
The breakfasts were very good with a good choice of cold meats and cheeses together with hot food as well. The usual tea, coffee, juices (freshly squeezed), yogurts, varieties of bread and spreads are also available.
The room I occupied was clean and the bathroom stocked with essential toiletries. The room was quiet and I got good nights sleep during my stay. The room was attended to every day by another very friendly member of the hotel team.
The concierge at the hotel was very helpful, Nenad Zecic was full of good advice on what to do and see. I found him to be very pleasant and helpful, always welcoming.

it was our first visit to Croatia and we were pleasantly surprised with the city of Split and our stay at Hotel Globo. it can be a little overwhelming visiting a foreign country but with the help of Nenad Zecic and the Globo staf fwe quickly felt at ease. Nenad took the time on his day off to pick my oldest son up from the airport and was kind enough to drive my family to the most beautiful beach in Split.I can not say enough good things about our experience. Thanks for the great memories! Kelly Louisville Ky
