It was not a big one as number of room was about not more then 50 / 60 in capacity. Located in main street and major area at walking distance to both old and new Skopje. Surrounded by locals and shops also convenience shops. Opposite of the hotel is Old Bazzar which is one of the best touristic area. This is the best place to enjoy local culture and at the same time shopping. The hotel breakfast is simple but very good. Gold Hotel look Luxury as per name and its interior. Clean and very nice location. simple amenities and helpful staff at the front desk who always give you any suggestion for day tours around this area. Good to stay and recommended.

Room Tip: facing main street as you may enjoy bazaar view and old town area

A very clean city center hotel, large and clean rooms, nice breakfast, friendly service and staff. Very close to the old city center and market. A good and cosy place to stay at Skopje Macedonia......

The Gold hotel is conveniently located close to the city centre opposite the old bazaar.
Check-in is efficient.
Rooms are either facing a main street (Boulevard Krste Misirkov) or a minaret on the back side. However, the rooms are very quiet due to the efficient sound-proof windows.
The rooms are spacious and ............ gold!
WiFi is good but depends stability depends on the position of the rooms.
Breakfast is simple but good.

We stayed one night and loved the location. The room was so over the top with gold furnishings that it was actually fun. The A/C did not work and 3 of the lamps blew out with an electrical surge as we were going to bed. They came to the room to fix the A/c but it never seemed to get very chilly. the walk to old town is only 2 blocks away but they are pretty rough blocks. Our local guide warned us to watch our bags in the Bazaar and not to use the covered over street walkway but just use the street walk paths. We were there on a Sat. So it was quiet and no one bothered us. Breakfast was so different but great. Lots of varied items.

Good location, right next to the bazaar. The rooms are wild - decorated in gold (from the wallpaper to the furniture, the carpet, the bedspread), (great fun!), lots of space, spotlessly clean, and great friendly service from the front desk.
