Sat at a table in front of a large picture window with a view of the street and watched the kids walk by in their school uniforms, the security guards standing on the corner, the taxis honking at tourists on the sidewalk, and the shops opening for the day.

The atmosphere was eclectic and welcoming; the staff was kind and helpful. There was a bit of difficulty with their WiFi at first, but they were happy to restart the router and fix the issue. While I didn't have breakfast here, I can certainly vouch for their coffee.

Such a lovely place to write and watch the world go by for a few hours!

Super friendly staff and good atmosphere. Coffee was okay and the empanada was awful and dry. Wished the food would have been better because otherwise it would have been 5 stars!

Thank you very much for your feedback. We are sorry for the quality of the empanada you experienced. We are in the process of changing to a new baker who's quality, texture and flavor of empanada's are superior to what we have have been able to find in the past. The new empanadas will be arriving fresh on Saturday. If you are in the neighborhood, please stop by for a complementary empanada of your choice. Thank you again for your feedback. It is greatly appreciated.

Best,
The Staff and Management of Casa Sucre

We loved having coffee here and their almond croissants are to die for! We even picked up a couple to go for an early morning tour day. The fruit plate was so large we shared it with two other tourists -- so much fun.

We only stopped by for a snack -- Balboa beer on tap and an almond croissant, but everything was excellent (made you feel like you were on vacation), and the service was excellent. Highly recommended as a casual stop for a snack!
