Don’t miss the traditional Ceviche... a real must in Peruvian food. Also try “Lobito Salteado”, excellent flavor, nice cost-benefit ratio.

We didn’t feel like taking a cab to a restaurant and found this Peruvian restaurant on trip advisor. We walked from our hotel and couldn’t have been more pleasantly surprised. We were seated right away and waited on by Rodrigo who we loved. We ordered a sampler appetizer which had ceviche several different ways as well as a clams casino type appetizer and some calamari. Also there was some yuca and a wonderful candle in the middle inside a carved piece of orange. I ordered the Andean steak with rice and lentils and my husband ordered chicken and shrimp Peruvian style. There was an issue with how my steak was cooked but Rodrigo took care of it right away and everything was fine. The hot rolls are delicious and are so buttery that you don’t even need to add butter to them. We really enjoyed this restaurant and would recommend it

We visited restaurant for the dinner. Small and nice place. In the evening, there was many people, but you don ´t need reservation. We had Causa de camarones as appetizer, Arroz negro - black rice with seafood and Seco de carne - meat with rice. The food was good, but nothing special and in Causa de camarones, there was not avocado creme, but mayonnaise.. Total price for the food, water, one glass of wine and one coctail was 68 USD. The staff don ´t speak English and was very unpleasant.

My wife and I use Mar de Grau as or "failsafe" choice...I love the food and I love the food!! Not fancy, average prices, great chef, a little difficult to park, but always a winner. We probably are there about once or twice a month... generally seafood with a peruvian twist. Langostinos thermidor is my favorite... Very acceptable prices. House wine, great bread...what more do you need?
