Parking at the foot of the hill right outside the residential area, we walked all the way up to the top of the hill. It was quite a hike up there since the temperature there was always in the high 80s degrees. However, there were lots of trees and shade on the trail so it was not so bad. When you reached the top, the hill opened up to offer a panaromic view of the city. Make sure you bring a bottle of drinking water to keep yourself hydrated.

Our City tour included a stop at Ancon Hill. There's little to do but walk around and take in the breathtaking views of Panama below and that was just fine!

Most people on this Sunday afternoon walk up to the summit of Cerro Ancon from Mi Pueblito on the main road (Avenida de los Martires). Mi Pueblito is about 300m South from the roundabout at Calle J and los Martires. From here it is a pleasant hike up of about 30 to 40 minutes through tropical rainforest to the top with the Panamanian Flag.
You can see the bridges over the Canal with the locks on one side and the Old en New cities of Panama on the other. Very good!
