Incredible views, great El Salvadorean food at the stalls, great for meeting and watching the locals.

This is an amazing place to visit in El Salvador! Eat some pupusas before going up to the Devil's door to get some energy for the hike! If you wanted to you could also do two zipwires across from one rock to another or Rappelling as well.

We took the bus from the historic centre and within 30 mins and at a cost of 35 cents we were at the site. There are quite a few little walks to get you to the viewing sites, where you can see the Pacific Ocean on one side and the city of San Salvador, lots of volcanoes and Lake Ilopango on the other. There are a variety of cheap eateries (the pupusas in the Flintstones Cafe were the best, although their Chicken lunch and local Chicken 'indio' soup were also very good) and souvenir stalls. If you wanted to you could also do two zipwires across from one rock to another or Rappelling as well. Be prepared the walk to the top is quite steep but there are steps cut into the rock and due to the altitude- don't rush it in the heat. Definitely worth going up there though- for the peace and serenity and the fabulous views.
