We found the best place to get the best views of the Sava river is from the Belgrade fortress, (awesome piccies to be had) where you will see the confluence of two rivers (Danube and Sava). The two rivers provided a natural defence during Medieval times, also a strategic location that was under constant threat through the ages. Walking along the new develope was good fun, you can litterally walk for miles along the forshore.

This river could be seen from the fortress and it cross through the heart of Belgrade City Center. You wont miss it if you are at the outlook near the Fortress.

One of the Danube's major tributaries, the Sava is one of Europe's longest rivers and a body of water that serves as the international border between Serbia and Bosnia and between Croatia and Bosnia. Its joining the Danube in urban Belgrade provides great views and the romance of rivers flowing through cities.

Sava is one of two rivers that run through Belgrade. The other being the Danube. The Sava is undergoing a major beautification process as I write this. They are building restaurants, hi rise condos, shops and beautiful walkways all along the river way. It has a couple years left before it's completed but it will be outstanding when it's done. Hundreds of people are already strolling the walkways. This will be a major attraction when completed
