We loved Paine si Vin (which translates to Bread and Wine) so much we went back twice during our short time in Bucharest. They have an amazing wine menu from whites/rose/red/sparkling and desert wines that are all around the 17 lei mark ( 3.20 GBP) per glass. they also have the most amazing selection of breads and butters for around 8 Lei (1.5 GBP) and a huge variety of pizzas and flat breads from around 30 Lei (5.5 GBP). They also have sharing platters, which while we didn’t try, we saw some come out and they looked great. It is a really classy place and such good value for money. It is the perfect place to spend an evening tasting a variety of local wines, and sharing a pizza. They also have some outdoor tables for summer nights. Would definitely recommend.

Went there two times, second with kids and i noticed a difference in attitude. First time we chose the table and the pizzas we ordered were great. The second time i went there with my two kids and we were directed to a table in the back and the food was ‘whatever’ (not with so many ingredients as the first time). I noticed that the restaurant wasn’t full and the waiter said they have a large number of reservations. For almost an hour the table we wanted was unocuppied and seeing that other families were directed ‘to the back’ i got that this is the restaurant policy.

The best olive oil, veggies and bread. I could live only on their food and be happy. Even the simplest dish is flavored perfectly.

Pretty interesting place in town for drinks or dinner, as they open at 5 P.M. (they don't take reservations). They have a great selection of flatbread prepared in 5 different ways (Mexican and Scandinavian are my favorites) and some good platters for sharing. The ingredients are locally sourced and of course, the bread is made there, in front of you. The place has a pretty awesome design and a nice, cozy atmosphere!
