Book the single room on the third floor good rate and easy access to city centre from Airport bus stop can walk it in 10 mins. Outside the hotel turn right into a lovely pub that sells good food and the few pubs in Tirana that sells draught Guiness. Have a stroll down towards the "Block" where all the restruants and pub are! The locals are very friendly! One day is enough in the city then get your cheap bus and head off to the south west coast towns of Himara and Senerda, there is just "Heaven on Earth" fantastic uncrowded beaches, great cheap food, very clean and cheap accomdation and best of all great people. Best plan is get a flight to Corfu and travel by ferry over to Senerda, stay in Himara for aprox 15 to 20 euro per day!! you wont want to leave!!

Room Tip: City Hotel a bit dear on top floor! Go to Himara contact " Hotel Glicali" in Himara real v...

Stayed here in November 2011 for three days. Very well located, very clean and staff polite and helpful. I didn't try the room service but the reception was manned all the time. This is probably the best hotel in central Tirana considering price, location and service. The staff are multilingual. I would definitely go back.

My company had chosen this hotel for its location, the positive reviews and -most certainly- the price. I have to say that the location is great: right behind one of the nicest streets in Tirana with lovely bars and cafés. A street that you can reach going through one of these bars (cafe Medusa) after leaving the hotel.

However, the room I had was dark and tiny. The bathroom was one of the smallest I have ever seen in my life and the walls needed to be re-painted. The furniture was quite outdated and gave no chance to move around. It was like living in a gloomy monastery. It is absolutely NOT worth the price we paid considering the cost of living in Albania. The breakfast was included, but you have to be an early bird you you want to have some choice. The TV satellite was not included in the price so you have to pay extra (and did not even worked for me when I purchased it for a night - that did not stop them for charging me for it while they did not try to find a solution to fix it). The internet wifi was NOT working in my room, so you can only connect using the short cable: not very comfortable.

To put it in a nutshell, if you are there for chill out holidays, fine. But if you are there for professional reasons and for a duration of more than 3 days: run away. Especially since they don't have an elevator: you will have to carry your luggage yourself to the 2nd or 3rd floor...

For longer durations, they are better options that you will find once there or in the different websites or guides (once arrived, get the free City of Tirana guide: very helpful!).

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor are bigger.
