“Could be excellent but...”

Location is between the town & airport, photos true to what is on offer. A couple of things missing which would improve as the level of the build & interiors is excellent - even a coffee machine with ground coffee provided. A full length mirror, a water jug would be good additions. On arrival there were 2 small bottles of water (we were 3) so would it really make a difference to put in some large bottles to get guests settled. There is a water filter but no information which states whether you still need to boil water (we did).
The main failures from our point of view were -
Not close to the beach so be aware of that (in a lovely natural setting);
No air conditioning so in hot season this would really matter (why have a clothes dryer and/or dish washer which can be used if you don't want to put air con in due to expensive running costs);
You have to have a car;
Roosters (and lots of them) wake you up from 415am (you have to have all windows open for the heat so there's no getting away from it).
Shannon very sweet & accommodating.

Would you recommend this hotel to a friend?   No.

Management Response

Thank you for staying with us and for your feedback.

We have since your stay made considerable improvements to the Villas. We have installed air conditioning in all rooms (3 for each Villa) due to the summer temperatures. We have also replaced the decks with new wooden decks, and installed corten steel privacy screens around all decks for greater guest privacy.

In May 2017 our new 8x4m swimming pool and deck are being installed outside Villas 1 and 2, which then become poolside villas, and on site Manager's accommodation is being built.

As advertised we are situated on the Back Road in Atupa, a small village which is a short drive from the airport. We recommend to all guests that they hire a rental car (as you did) in order to get around the island conveniently. The beauty is that we are not affected by waves during cyclones.

Roosters are part of the environment in all Pacific Islands. Now we have air conditioning windows and doors can be closed at night to minimise exterior noise. All of our Villa and well insulated/sound proofed.

Your booking was only for 2 guests and for that reason only two water bottles were provided. We always provide one bottle of water per guest on arrival.
