When you enter this little cafe /restaurant , you are transferred to a cafe on the Rhine in Germany before WWII ..., it's a lovely old fashioned place with wonderful German cakes like Apple strudel ..and all kinds of truly German cakes with freshly whipped Schlagsahne ( whipped creme ) . It's a welcomed treat to find this little oasis ...and except for the service ..which we manage to overcome by complaining to the cashier who seems to be the manager ....it's all good and a treat ! Good coffee ...good sandwiches ...recommending a visit into the old world charm that is Montevideo .
