We stayed only 3 days during our trip whose primary purpose was to visit Machu Picchu. The rooms don't have TVs or WiFi, but you won't miss it. The gardens were beautiful, even at the end of the growing season. The aromas from the flowers were a wonderful bonus. The breakfast was anything you could want, cooked to order, and eaten where the food competed with the mountain views. We would have stayed forever.

Room tip: The paths are stone, so the facility is not good if you have accessibility needs.

This is a beautiful hotel that connects with the environment yet feels comfortable and modern. From the moment you enter there are hundreds of types of flowers and plants all over the property which made it a joy to walk around the grounds.

We stayed in 2 different casitas, the top level suite that included 2 fireplaces and an outdoor jacuzzi, and the lowest level type. Honestly the more basic casita felt very cozy and was easier to heat since it wasn’t huge! The premium casita included special touches like a heated towel rack. We didn’t use the fireplaces after the first night as they created quite a bit of smoke smell in the room and didn’t use the outdoor jacuzzi as we weren’t sure how to fill or heat it (on our second day it was filled with cold water already?)

The food at Wayra (the casual restaurant) was great with a lot of variety. We loved the pork belly and the club sandwich. The restaurant has a cool environment and is a nice place to lounge around for a cocktail or a craft beer.

Service was great and the staff was very helpful as I arrived from the jungle really sick - they offered to make any special dish I wanted at the restaurant. Getting the bags to our room was incredibly fast, they were there before we finished the check-in process.

The one recommendation I made to the manager was to include a facilities book in the rooms with things like the room service menu (we only learned it existed from visiting the restaurant) or how to work the outdoor jacuzzi. Seems like there are a lot of little things we discovered late like a music listening room and would have been helpful to have a list of the special facilities.

Overall fantastic experience at Sol y Luna and I would go back and relax in the hot tub anytime!

Room tip: Smaller casitas are still fantastic

Sol y Luna is a beautiful and unique place. I stayed there during my Matchu Picchu trip. Their casitas are really cozy and well designed. Fireplace was also a nice touch. Both restaurants are great: tasty local dishes with an international touch. Great breakfast and helpful personnel. What more could I ask for? :)

A true pleasure staying in this amazing place. A full sized rancho in the middle of Sacred Valley that provides a perfect getaway for anyone who visits. Two absolutely fabulous restaurants, highest possible level of care and attention to detail, delicious breakfast, lovely spa area and an outdoor pool. Simply mesmerizing. Would definitely come back.

Arrived this afternoon and couldn’t help myself as soon as I could to explore the property
I do not expect a hotel and property as good as this in this part of the world
Dinner in the restaurant was great
