Caught off guard with this "wow" meal while in Iquitos. the dipping sauce (made with copoboana?) they provided with the chips (very thin plantain chips with salt) was OUT OF THIS WORLD. we asked for seconds then thirds. Because we knew nothing of Peruvian or jungle cuisines we asked the waiter for recommendations. Had a ceviche (excellent) followed by a grilled fish (local fish with seasoning wrapped in banana leaf). It was a "wow" meal....

Beware that they will try to over charge you. For this reason I would not eat there when there are many many other options. Food average

Patarachca is the best here! Crazy pisco sour with passionfruit. Also nice snacks before dinner and the dessert was really good. All this for 45soles. Very friendly staff!

I ordered Tacacho con Cecina, the regional dish here that is served in almost all of the restaurants in Iquitos. Their version was beautifully presented but both the Cecina and Tacacho were incredibly dry and tough. The aji sauce was good though.

I've had this dish a couple of times in other places and this is by far the worst. The dish was also pricey. I had planned to go to a more local place but it turns out it's closed on Sunday.

Thank thaiyoshi

We were given two recommendations from the staff at our hotel. We chose this one for the air conditioning. We were quite comfortable. They had a fair number of other tables, but the service was fast.

Cocktails were excellent - we had whatever Pisco drinks the waiter recommended. The food was quite good with nice presentation. Only snag was having to wait while the waiter went across the street to be able to make change when we paid.
