Beautiful hotel that was very close to the main square in Cusco. Staff was very friendly, offering us coca tea upon arrival. Room was beautiful with a huge comfortable bed and fast wifi. Breakfast was good (fruits, eggs, toast).

We stayed here for three nights in the beginning of September and had a great experience. The atmosphere in the courtyard is charming and sets the mood for your visit to Cusco. The rooms are all unique and the host was accommodating.

This hotel is situated just a wee bit further from the noise and commotion of the central plaza which makes it a quiet place to stay. Rates are much cheaper in the off season (Jan- Feb) and there were very few other guests during my stay. I chose this one partly because of it's close proximity to Sacsayhuaman ( within walking distance, 20 scenic minutes up the hill). The hotel has outstanding architectural features- exposed stone, wood rafters and floors, antique touches here and there, and a really cool bar and lounge area. Very peaceful and intimate inside the doors as there is a courtyard with a small garden. Rooms are very clean with lots of hot water, and i liked the comfy warm bed very much. Breakfast is fine as well - eggs made to order in a back corner room upstairs with a pleasant view of one side of Cusco. I must deduct one star because the wi-fi was out for 3 days; not their fault but you know how we all need our internet sometimes...

Room Tip: 2nd floor have views

Generally, you get what you pay for; however, my husband and I were extremely pleased with our visit to this very affordable hotel. The gentleman who checked us in gave us welcome-drink tickets for free Pisco Sours at the bar (this might have been a tripadvisor promotion so don't blame the hotel if you don't get them) in addition to a map of Cusco and instructions on how to walk to the Plaza de Armas. We asked him details about arranging taxis to the airport and he remembered our conversation the following day, found us, and confirmed whether we still wanted the hotel to arrange our taxi to the airport! The hotel is about a 5 minute walk to the action (down hill one way, up hill the other which didn't bother us). It was close enough to the center of things to walk there but far enough to be in a quiet neighborhood. The complementary breakfast was substantial for whatever the day's activities and the eating area has a top-notch view (They had Belgian waffles, too!). The decor in the common areas of the hotel has been carefully and thoughtfully selected. We had some time to kill before heading to the airport, so Kathy, the bartender gave us a workshop on how to make our own Pisco sours! Ask for her! She is extremely delightful, and entertained me by allowing me to speak to her in broken Spanish, even though her English was great. The tapas menu at the bar is perfect if you need a pick-me-up. The menu at the restaurant is okay, but the best part about dinner was the live pianist and opera singers that would perform every 30 minutes (only certain days of the week). A unique dining experience, to say the least! This was the perfect place to stay just before flying home. The room was clean and comfortable, but we spent more time outside of the room yet still in the hotel and had a wonderful experience because of it. Stay here.

Room Tip: We sleep with the window open most nights....there were lots of roosters outside of window; earplugs did the trick.
