My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Belmond Hotel Monasterio at the end of our Peru trip and our only regret is that we didn't stay here longer. The property is stunning, full of history and perfectly located close to the main square. There are lots of activities to do at the hotel - Opera dinners, Pisco tasting, a small church and beautiful paintings everywhere.. we never wanted to leave the grounds. The staff are ALL super helpful. Special thank you to Daniel who went out of his way to help us check into our flights (we were having problems with our airline) and he also helped us make reservations for things to do around town. Boris and Fredy made the most delicious drinks and were always happy to recommend local things for us to do. Every staff member greeted us by name and provided exceptional service from the minute we checked in until we departed. We were blown away by the hospitality of this hotel. We hope to be back soon!!

The Hotel Monasterio staff treats all of their guests like royalty. They care for your every need. We arrived at the hotel after the Two day Inca Trail. Our luggage arrived prior, it was so nice getting to the hotel and having our luggage in our room waiting for us. The breakfast was included with our room. The breakfast buffet was very extensive with fresh fruits, cereals, breads, pastries, and hot breakfast items like vegetables, meats, and potatoes. You could also order additional breakfast items from a menu, cooked to order which was also included. I enjoyed the Eggs Benedict so much that I order them two of days we were there. The omelet I ordered another morning was also very good. While we were there they had Opera singers at dinner on Tues, Thurs, and Sat. We ate in the restaurant on Tuesday evening and really enjoyed the opera performance. The breads they served were very tasty. I had the mushroom risotto which was also very good. The portions were large and I was unable to finish my meal. The location is good and within walking distance of most of the keys sites/ museums. I would highly recommend this hotel if you are staying in Cusco.

What a beautiful hotel. It was formerly a monastery. To start the grounds! There is a small church on the property and incredible ORIGINAL art through out. The staff is amazing and it is located in a great area with access to the town. Everything is walking distance. We enjoyed the monks chanting in the morning on our way to breakfast. Breakfast was complimentary. It was delightful! We enjoyed a beautiful dinner there as well. The property itself is like a museum with so many things to see. The history itself is incredible.

We had an amazing time with our two nights at the Belmond. The hotel was part of a monastery and there is a small church on the property and you see beautiful pieces of art throughout the entire resort. Upon check in we were surprised with an upgrade to a larger room. This was a pleasant surprise and our room had a little of the original art work on the wall. It felt amazing to be in a place like this! The windows didn't have much of a view, unfortunately, but you could walk around the place and feel like you're in your own little world.
We enjoyed the complimentary breakfast--delicious and we over ate each morning--especially enjoyed the live music one morning. The staff at breakfast was a delight and had wonderful recommendations when I was looking through the buffet.
It is centrally located and a wonderful hotel; we highly recommend!

What an amazing hotel. The conversion of the monastery is so tastefully done, the amenities and the staff are absolutely amazing and the location in Cusco is walking distance to so many interesting sites and history. If you have the chance to stay here, don't pass it up, you will not regret it...
