We stayed at this small boutique hotel twice on our way to Macchu Picchu. First night we stayed in a small room which was adequate as it was only for one night. After that we stayed in the larger room with the fireplace which although street facing and a bit noisy was much better. The last night after Macchu Picchu we stayed in the same room but went to the bathroom and there was poo all over the side of the toilet, someone obviously had gastro or diarrhoea and the toilet was not cleaned . We had to ask the reception lady, who by the way was beautiful and she had to come in and clean it herself . We were too worried about catching gastro as 2 nights previously we both had a bout of gastro . The location is great , 2 mins walk to plaza de armas. Breakfast ok. Two reception ladies great, one night reception guy a bit surly and not helpful. That's why I can only give it an average , Internet not great.

Room Tip: Definitely the bigger rooms with fireplace

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. Had once been a Spanish colonial home, and still has that charm. Central open courtyard, comfy rooms, friendly staff that took care of all our needs. Great roof terrace. Walking distance to main square, lots and lots of shopping and restaurants.

The location of this lovely hotel is tops -- right around the corner from all the San Blas shops and then the other direction is the glorious Plaza. I had a room on the 3rd floor, and it was cozy and quiet (although I always sleep with ear plugs when I travel, so most rooms are quiet for me!!!). Plentiful hot water!! Terrific spread for breakfast. Every day I had eggs (made to order), there was plentiful fruit, juices, coffee, wonderful granola made from local quinoa, yogurt, sliced meats & cheese. And coca tea always available in the lobby. The colonial design of the hotel leaves for an open courtyard in the middle. My room opened up to the courtyard, as did my window. Because it was winter during my stay, I did not open the windows. There is radiator heat in the rooms -- I asked for the radiator to be turned on early (usually they set it to come on at 5 or so in the evening). My room was spotless, linens felt high quality, and I slept very well each night there (3 nights). Every request was no problem for the wonderful staff here. I LOVED staying in Cusco, and this was a terrific spot. I miss Cusco already!

Our stay at the hotel was wonderful. Rooms small, beds comfortable and had all the amenities for our stay. The views on the rooftop are breathtaking. Very convenient to the Plaza de Armas and other sites in the city. Staff very friendly and helpful. Recommend this hotel for your stay in Cusco.

This hotel is very convenient to the Plaza de Armas and many restaurants. It's an easy fairly flat walk to the Plaza. Staff is friendly and helpful and speak English in varying degrees but we never had a problem making ourselves understood with a mixture of Spanish and English. The hotel is an old colonial house with lots of charm. There is a fireplace always going in the lobby and coca and Muna tea available. Both teas really help with altitude sickness. We had rooms on the second floor with two double beds each, fireplaces, desks and a small table and chairs. Bathrooms were modern tiled affairs with hand held rain showers. Rooms were very clean. Skylights let natural light in and windows have wood shutters to block out both sun and noise. We used ear plugs for the street noise and did not find it too much of a problem. Staff will be happy to start a fire for you in your room if you have a fireplace. Breakfast starts early and is simple but good: Fresh fruit, cereals, cheese, breads and eggs made to order. This is a nice comfortable hotel for a very reasonable price. The tour company the hotel recommends, Unique Peru,is excellent. See my separate review of them.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the street maybe a little noisy
