“Lovely apart from the shower”

This is a really nice apartment. The people who run it help in every way possible. They sent a taxi driver to pick us up from the bus station. He was a lovely guy who we hired to take us around the sacred valley and other sites. He doesn’t speak English though so we had no English speaking guide. But it worked fine for us as we used guide books and many text panels had English as well. It’s up a hill from the Plaza de Armas and quite a bit more than a few meters away as advertised. Being quite elderly we generally took a taxi back from town, which cost about 5/6 sols.
The only criticism I have is that the hot water to the shower was luke warm most of the time and occasionally hot and occasionally cold. Not very good. If the owner can sort that out it would be perfect.

Management Response
20 Jan 2018
Dear Joanna
I have had many conversations with you but you never told me anything,,if you had given me this problem my assistant and I would have indicated to you how to overcome this problem
Thanks for your comment that gives me the opportunity to highlight some aspects of Cusco.

Cusco is 3400 meters above sea level the amount of oxygen in the air is less than the city at sea level and at night the temperature can drop below zero degrees centigrade, so the morning the water must flow in the taps before reaching 50-60 degrees. The hot water in the house is produced by a water heater placed outside of the apartment able to bring the water temperature to 80 degrees.
Cusco has no gas distribution network and all devices are operated with cylinders, when the cylinder ends must be able to change it with the new one

“a cozy apartment”
Reviewed 6 October 2017 for a stay in July 2017

Misbe and Maurizio were wonderful hosts. They were very helpful and open to assisting us to plan our activities during our stay. We were very grateful that they booked our taxis to and from our stay, and they warmed the apartment for us when they knew we would be home late. Throughout our whole stay, we felt very thankful we had such nice people to know being in a city we knew no one. Not to mention, we felt very safe in our neighborhood and the apartment was wonderful. We couldn't have nicer things to say about them or the apartment. If we are ever back in Cusco we will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed here for 5 days and it could not have been more relaxing. Without question the safest area in Cuzco with loads of great restaurant. Highly recommended!
